I had only a few early mornings at school, thank goodness. I was actually able to sleep late several days. I was busy with the Ho Ho Ho Read-A-Thon and setting up a blog tour for a new paranormal romance, Wolves' Bane by Angela Addams. There are still spots open if you want to sign up. Claude was very snuggly last week; he has really settled in here. I got a new tank for my betta fish, complete with a heater. Apparently, I was keeping my bedroom too cold for his liking. Now he's a got a roomy tank and heated water and he's much happier.

November Challenges: Ho Ho Ho Read-A-Thon: I made my goal of reading seven holiday books though not the seven I'd originally planned.
Blog Ahead: I made some progress. I have six posts for December and five for November. Plus five that I wrote and pre-scheduled for November have published. My goal is thirty.
A Month of Giving Thanks: I totally blew it last week, I got none up. I'm aiming for two this week.
NetGalley November: My goal is ten for the month and thanks to Ho Ho Ho, I'm up to six. :)

A few weeks ago I got an egalley of Murder at the Book Group and then last week the publisher emailed asking if I wanted to review the book. I emailed back and ended up with all four books below, 2 print ARCs and 2 print finished copies, including a print ARC of Murder at the Book Group. :D
And I got 2 eGalley's that I'm excited about -

Glad Thing 2 is warm..LOL The Marriage Proposal looks so cute. Enjoy and stay warm. Congrats on reading 247books
ReplyDeleteThe poor boy was so lethargic because I hadn't turned the heat on yet and so his water was too cold. Now that he has warm water and a bigger tank, he's swimming around and eating again. :)
DeleteIt's been freezing here this week and the early mornings are not fun. :) Is it March yet? Glad to hear the new cat is settling in. They have a way of making themselves at home!
ReplyDeleteMurder at the Book Group looks fun.
March, April, May - I'd settle for any of them. Winter and late autumn are too darn cold. I'm excited for Murder at the Book Group, I hope it'll be good.
DeleteSounds like an overall good week! And congrats on reaching you RAT goal. Hope you enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christy :)
DeleteI bet Claude loves watching the Beta fish closely ? Or is he too busy looking for a warm and comfortable place to sleep ;) Have a great sunday !
ReplyDeleteDo you know, neither cat paid much attention to the fish when he was in the small bowl but since I moved hm to the tank, they have been watching hm intently? I'm glad the tank has a cover!
DeleteNice stack. The cats are just probably wondering what the fish is doing. Great looking books. The Paige Tyler book looks interesting. Heard good things about the Kelly Armstrong book.

ReplyDeleteThe food and book group cozies look really cool. Sounds like even though you got to sleep in a few mornings you were super busy on the book blog here. Love your new books and hope you enjoy them all..
ReplyDeleteAw yay for the herd fish and for Claude. Sounds like a great week for them :)
ReplyDeleteHungry Wolf sounds great, hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the fish is nice and warm. We had issues with our hermit crabs being way to warm and we lost one :( I think I was more sad then the kids but I am glad the fishy is very happy now!.
ReplyDeleteI am also very happy Claude is fitting in so nicely, cats have a way of doing that
I hope you have a great week Bea! Happy Reading!
