The Final Battle - Choose Your Kensington Hero! Day 1

It's the final week of Kensington's March Madness style elimination tournament in which Kensington will pit its heroes against each other as readers and fans vote in each match for their favorite hero. The winner advances on to the next round until there is only one hero left standing. Will he be a dashing duke? A fearsome vampire? A sexy detective? Only time will tell.

Sunday Book Share #131

http://www.talksupeblog.com/search/label/Bought%20Borrowed%20and%20Bagged

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. All of these memes are about sharing the print and digital books received and/or posts and events on the blog.

Whew, I had a busy week last week. I put in over 40 hours at my teaching job plus I worked at my part-time job and my freelancing. I fell asleep on the couch three nights in a row. I absolutely sucked at visiting blogs last week, hopefully this week I can do better. This week I'm only scheduled for 17 hours at school but that's subject to change. And last night's time change has me needing lots of coffee today. BUT, it's in the high 30s outside and the snow is melting! Melt snow, melt!

February's Balancing the Books with Bea

Inspired by Fantasy Is More Fun and The Geeky Blogger's Book Blog, I decided to start tracking my book expenses this year. I'll do a wrap up post at the end of each month.

I've given myself $10 real money each month to spend on books, whether for myself, as gifts, or blog giveaways. "Real money" being cash from my bank account as opposed to gift cards and store credits. I am counting money spent to ship giveaways and Paperbackswap.com books. Books from my personal shelves, borrowed from the library or a friend, and books received for review do not count against my purchases.

February Challenge Wrap Up

Wrap Up

This year I signed up for fewer year long challenges and I'll do more short-term challenges. Last month, February, I had COYER, which started in December and ended March 6th, and my own Winning at Reading Challenge. This month is the March 2015 Take Control of Your TBR Pile Challenge.

Grab a drink, get comfy, and get ready!

The vampire’s curse has been awakened, and Jocelyn has no choice but to accept her destiny as the Blood Kissed—the one destined to destroy the vampires…or rule them. While Max and Chad want to help her reach her full potential, not all of the supernaturals share their plan.

The Council of Elders, a crazed sorcerer assassin, and a vampire hunter out for revenge have driven Jocelyn into hiding. She and her ragtag army have holed up in the forests of Michigan’s upper peninsula to get ready for the fight. If training is any indication, they should be ready for war by the time she turns fifty.
