Blurb from goodreads:

A Kinky Chronicles Crossover story

Mason Gamble and Nash Vincent are pros at making people sweat. As former Army Rangers who run the toughest, ball-busting fitness boot camp in Michigan, they take great pride in that fact. But thanks to the knockout brunette house sitting next door, suddenly they’re the ones experiencing excess perspiration. Fortunately, the perfect opportunity to be neighborly presents itself courtesy of a package delivery snafu.

Regan Wallace has trust issues. Specifically, trusting that her best friend won’t make good on her threat to send a Strip-O-Gram for Regan’s birthday. Is it any wonder she’d jump to the wrong conclusion when two gorgeous, camo-garbed hunks land on her front doorstep? Oops. The crazy part? They don’t seem the least bit scandalized or offended by her boneheaded blunder. Judging by the sinful heat in their eyes, they’re all too happy to provide her with a little two-on-one dirty dancing. For a woman recovering from a bad breakup, fielding the interest of two sex-on-a-stick men is both surreal and exhilarating. Indulging in a three-way fling? Completely out of her comfort zone. But with her stay limited to a week, some no-strings-attached sex might be precisely what she needs to get her confidence back in stride.

None of them are prepared for the consequences of a sexy fling feeling like so much more. As Regan’s stay draws closer to an end, Mason and Nash realize there’s no way in hell they’re letting the perfect woman slip through their fingers. And when it comes to fighting for her love, there are no fitter warriors for the ultimate battle to her heart.

This Veteran's Day, find home in the heart of our heroes with Report For Booty, part of the Red Hot Heroes multi-author series. Stands alone for reading enjoyment.

EXCERPT from Kinky Claus by Jodi Redford

Kinky Claus BT Banner.jpg

One of my favorite erotic romance authors has another book out! Jodi has been a guest here before and she and I chat on Twitter and Facebook. She's funny, sassy, and just a wee bit nuts. :D

At the ripe age of seven, I penned my first epic, complete with stick figure illustrations. Sadly, my drawing skills haven't improved much, but my love of creating fantasy worlds is still going strong. Yep, I still love writing about fairies, ghosts, and other supernatural creatures, only my stories pack a little more heat these days.

When I'm not writing or working the day job, I'm usually tinkering in the garden (weather permitting) or drooling over those smokin' hot Winchester Brothers from Supernatural. Strictly for research purposes, of course.

Blurb from goodreads:

There are two certainties in life soul collector and hellhound Jericho Stryker knows too well—Death never takes a holiday, and women are typically more trouble than they’re worth. That goes double for his personal nemesis and regular pain in his backside, Lola McKenna. Sure, the luscious little hellcat gets his blood boiling in more ways than one, but some scratches are best left un-itched. That determination is strained to the max when a botched soul acquisition job lands him on the same case as Lola.

Fetching a stubborn soul from a haunted bordello should be a piece of cake. Unfortunately for Lola, she has to deal with Jericho horning in on her bounty. Attempting to keep her cool and her wits around her sinfully sexy adversary? Easier said than done. Especially when she finds herself locked overnight with Jericho. Not strangling him before sunrise? A faint possibility. Ignoring the lusty, depraved sexual fantasies he awakens in her? A snowball’s chance in hell of happening. But worse of all is the very real possibility that he could steal the one thing she most fears losing to him—her heart.

She has her work cut out for her though when it comes to the sinfully sexy yet incredibly frustrating man.

As far as Ash is concerned, Lexie is strictly off limits. Not only are they friends, her dad just happens to be the sheriff, and years ago the man steered Ash away from a life of crime. No way is he repaying that favor by giving into his wicked fantasies of Lexie. But when the little vixen strolls into his tattoo parlor and requests a very naughty piercing, Ash’s honorable intentions are tested to their limits.

Now that Lexie’s hammered the first chink in Ash’s defenses, and he’s sweating bullets, there’s no chance in hell she’s settling for his hands off policy. Even if it means some flirty strip tease action and late night skinny dipping to convince him that this newfound naughty girl will do whatever it takes to get her man.

Review of Three Ways to Wicked by Jodi Redford

Publisher: Samhain Publishing
Series: Wicked Shores #1
Format Read: Kindle Book
Source: gift from the author
Release Date: December 24, 2013
Buying Links: Amazon* | Barnes & Noble | Samhain

Blurb from goodreads:

"Three ingredients for a hot summer: sun, sand, and sizzling sex. "

"Wicked Shores, Book 1"

Following a nasty breakup with her ex, Kayla English is eager to get her erotic writing mojo back on track. Except progress on her current book has flatlined, right along with her belief in happily-ever-after.

Solution? Two weeks of solitude in the Florida sun thanks to some friends' generous offer to house-sit their place on the beach. She didn't count on having roommates-or on getting the sexiest peepshow of her life.

Seven years after an intimate encounter rocked their worlds, business partners Tyler Bishop and Gibb Masters have kept things strictly in the friend zone. A recent storm has left them homeless, though. They figure moving into Ty's parents' place is preferable to roughing it elsewhere, even if it means resisting the temptation to slip between the sheets with Kayla...and each other.

As the days heat up, so does their three-way attraction. But when emotions run deeper than any of them expect, three wary hearts must decide if it's worth the risk to write their own HEA.

Warning: This book brings the dirty. We're talking dirty sex in an outdoor shower, on a boat, and on the kitchen counter with a dirty-mouthed Casanova. In other words, all the good stuff with a side of glow-in-the-dark body paint.

Sex & Research the Jodi Redford Way: A Guest Post

*******************************************

I’ll let you in on a secret. Okay, it’s not particularly profound or life altering, but I’ll pretend it is for needless dramatic effect. *sucks in a deep, shuddering breath* Guest posts aren’t easy for me to write. *Waits for the cries of sympathy to subside* Here’s the thing. I can write a sixty thousand word novel without batting an eye, but when it comes to guest posts I’m usually left banging my head against the wall trying to think of something interesting. Or mildly entertaining. Let’s face it, there are only so many dissertations I can write on the mating habits of puffer fish. Tragic, I know. So when Bea mentioned my book research as a possible topic, I jumped on it like it was a Joe Manganiello impersonator at an all-male revue. Ahem. Not that I’ve ever done that before.

Now, between you and me, there’s a 99% chance Bea suggested research to me because she’s scouting out where to buy the sex swing from "Checking It Twice". I know how that crafty wench’s mind works. {Moi?} Also, it’s something I would do. Regardless, sharing my research would also further my quest to provide Bea with guest posts that elicit odd and appropriately perverted hits on her blog, so clearly this was a sign handed down from the heavens. {Or hell. It could be a sign of the apocalypse. I'm just sayin'. ~ Bea} So without further ado, I present to you …

JODI’S TOP FIVE SEXY RESEARCH ITEMS GUARANTEED TO GET ODD AND PERVERTED HITS ON BEA’S BOOK NOOK. WITH LINKS! (warning, the links lead to some very NSFW sites. Best to browse from the comfort of your home with no kiddos around and your non-maxed out charge card ready.)

1)      The infamous sex swing. That’s right. I don’t just use it for show in the warning for Checking It Twice. It’s actually in the book, folks. Because really, how much would that suck, expecting a sex swing and nada? When I promise a sex swing, I freakin’ deliver the goods. The awesome thing about this sex swing is that it spins. Gents, it’s like a merry-go-round for your penis! How awesome is that?!? Now ladies, I’ve got you covered too. Don’t have time to hit the gym? Then buy yourself the yoga sex swing. Your downward dog will have him howling!

2)      Erotic jewelry. As in a buzzing butterfly. Bzzz. Bzzzzzz. BZZZZZZZZZ!  The one used in Checking It Twice is mostly of my own creation, but this site has a few that come very close to it. There’s even a signet ring for his Johnson! That’s right, ladies. Make him feel special with some bling for his bologna. {Jodi is all about the bling; she has an awesome bling collection. However, most of it is not suitable for public viewing :P~ Bea}

3)      Edible lube. They don’t sell this stuff at Jiffy Lube. Trust me, I asked.  That 8 minute in and out promise they make? It’s an honest mistake, people. Yeesh. So anyway…Want to make his penis happy? Then get Happy Penis. Those cartoon penises on the label are smiling for a reason, you guys. Or maybe you prefer going vegan. Which is kinda contradictory, given the situation. *wink wink nudge nudge* Might I suggest some Good Clean Love? As opposed to dirty clean love, of course. Which I’m guessing would also be a contradiction. Unless you’re doing the deed at Jiffy Lube in a puddle of motor oil. Hey, whatever floats your boat. {shouldn't that be 'car'? lol ~ Bea}

4)      Candy Cane Flavored Body Paint. Make his pole feel like the North Pole! Sadly, this is another spun-mostly-from-my-own-brain creation. The closest similar product is the aptly named Candy Cane Emotion Lotion.  Doesn’t it have a catchy ring to it? I’ve even come up with a snazzy little jingle. “Come show your sweetie some devotion...with Candy Cane Emotion Lotion… She’ll surely be boastin’…that your bedroom moves be roastin’…while you stroke her to the stylin’s of Billy Ocean.”

It’s still a work in progress.   >.> {yes, yes it is, but points for trying ~ Bea}

5)      Jana’s Re-imagined Adult videos.  Riding Miss Daisy. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Strap On. Ah, time honored classics. Sadly there were a few that didn’t make the cut. Someday you will have your moment in the sun, Edward Penishands, and it will be even bigger than Lawrence of Her Labia. {BWAHAHAHA} *wipes tear from my eye*

So there you have it. An enlightening peek into some of the sexy research that goes into creating my books. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it.

Book Blurb (from author):
Tis the season for double seduction.
The only item on Jana Colton’s Christmas list this year is Kevin Monahan. Preferably naked in her bed. The delicious, hunky chef has been resisting her forever, but she’s pulling out all the sexy stops this holiday. Especially since his acceptance of an out-of-state job threatens to nix her quest to rock his boxers off.

Jana has always been Kevin’s personal Kryptonite, but giving in to her isn’t an option. Relationships are a four-letter word in his book. He cares far too much for Jana to let his emotional baggage ultimately break her heart. With the arrival of his best friend, Nick Pappas, the balance of temptation shifts. From their past history of sharing women, Nick knows every dirty trick it takes to lead Kevin astray, and he’s not afraid to use them. Particularly since Nick’s convinced that Jana is exactly what Kevin needs to be happy and whole.

Their game of seduction quickly snowballs into something that feels an awful lot like love—in triplicate.
But with Kevin dead set on leaving Michigan, there’s a real possibility it could be a blue Christmas for them all.
Product Warnings:
This book contains an extremely tormented voyeur, a very naughty and not so saintly Nick, a liberal application of candy cane-flavored body paint, a buzzing butterfly, and enough raunchy fun on a sex swing to melt a snowman…or two.

Intimacy didn't come easy for him. Until Jana entered his life, he rarely let down his guard enough to share that side of himself. The only other person who'd broken through his barriers had been Nick.
And look where that got you.

Bea's Thoughts:

"Checking It Twice" is a follow up to "The Naughty List", featuring Jana Colton, sister to one of the main characters in  that book. As always with Redford's books, there's hot, steamy sex; humor; and a character who is reluctant to love.

Jana is in love with Kevin and though they are friends, she's never had any luck in getting him to let her in. Kevin is attracted to Jana, may even love her but due to several different past experiences feels that he has nothing to offer her and that he is in fact a sexual freak. Then his former best friend Nick arrives in town and turns everything upside down. As relationships change and boundaries are pushed, Kevin slowly starts to confront his past and his hangups, Jana discovers a side to herself that she'd been unaware of and Nick makes another life change. Everyone changes during the story, a process that can be frightening and Redford doesn't back away from showing us the difficulties.

There's a revelation near the end of the book that I wish she'd spent more time on and I hope that if there's another book, it will be addressed. She presents what happened in a character's past as an affair but since only one partner was of legal age and the other one was only fifteen years old it strikes me more as abuse or statuatory rape. That bothered me but not enough to detract from the story. If you enjoy your romances extra steamy and aren't bothered by threesomes or voyeurism, then you need to read this story.

I received an eARC from the author for review.

Series: Midnight Justice
Buying Links: Samhain    Amazon

Book Blurb (from goodreads):

No super deed goes unpunished…

A Midnight Justice story.

It’s been twenty-five years since the last Light Guardian was wiped out. Or so it’s believed. Ruby Winston is about to blow the lid off that theory, even though it’ll bring every Shadow Czar minion down on her ass.

She’s always known she was different from the rest of the evil-dictators-in-training Winstons. Uncovering the secret half of her gene pool proves it. Now she’s out to bring down her late father’s mind-control soda empire—and break the Shadow Czars’ hold on Earth.

Problem is, becoming a superhero overnight isn’t as easy as it looks.

Teague Younger has his own secrets to keep: his heritage, and his fierce determination to exact revenge on his friend and mentor’s murderer. So far he’s kept his cover—until he’s forced to use his Light Guardian powers to save Ruby from a sticky situation.

Thrust together and on the run, Teague and Ruby form a wary alliance as they desperately fight their circuit-blowing attraction. With an army of Shadow Queen minions hot on their tails, they might have a hard time surviving the night, much less ignoring their hearts.

Product Warnings
This book contains mind-controlling beverages, evil dictators and minions, excessive use of spandex, and enough electrifying sex to melt an ice train.

Teaser:
"Don't start up on the superhero bullshit again. I already told you I'm not interested ingoing down that path."
"That isn't what I was getting at."
"Really? Could have fooled me, princess."
Scarlet crept across her cheekbones. "Must you always devolve into being a dick?"
Because she was right, he felt the necessity to needle her. "Name-calling, babe? That's not very nice. What will the other do-gooder superheroes think?"
"Go to hell, Teague. Furthermore, you are a dick. No, scratch that. You're the king of dicks. You could rule your own dickdom."
He arched his brows. "Do I get to wear a dick crown?"

Bea's Thoughts:

"Breaking Bad" has many of Jodi's usual characteristics: laugh out loud humor, detailed sex scenes, snarky characters, and at least one main character who is reluctant to fall in love. Unlike other books of hers that I've read and/or reviewed, this one is a sci fi. Unfortunately, that part felt weak to me. The world building was spotty and left me confused at times. I did love her idea of using soda as a device for mind control, brilliant! I'd have liked to have seen more scenes of humans under the control of the soda and also how did the Shadow, the aliens in control of Earth, distribute it, how did they ensure that all humans had access to it and drank it. But, the concept itself was excellent and more than a little scary.

Teague and Ruby and both fairly likable. They each are on a missions, missions that initially clash but they come to an arrangement and work together to take down the Shadow Queen. Teague, despite his mission, is not an idealist and thinks the whole idea of super heroes is absurd. Ruby is much more idealistic and at times reminded me of a teenager in her search for her identity and her rebellion against her family.

I enjoyed the story, it's a pleasant read, full of humor and some hot sex scenes, but it wasn't one of Jodi's best. I never really warmed up to Teague or Ruby and the world building, usually something that Jodi does well, was weak.

Review of Cat Scratch Fever by Jodi Redford

Publisher: Samhain Publishing

Release Date: April 10, 2012
Buying Links: Amazon     Samhain

Book Blurb:

Who says a wolf can’t make a pussycat purr?

Perfect timing has never been Lilly Prescott’s long suit. Seconds before a showdown with werewolf Dante Morgan, who owns a property that by rights should belong to her, she goes into heat. Not a simple event for a lynx shifter. No, she’s doomed to weeks of frustration that can only be soothed by frequent rolls in the hay—or her hand. Unfortunately, Dante accidentally witnesses the latter.

Left shaken and highly aroused in the snow, Dante can’t believe he’s attracted to the woman who drives him crazy, and not in a good way. Worse, his father has issued an ultimatum. Marry, or abdicate his place as pack leader. On the other hand, it’s the perfect leverage. Lilly will get her land…in exchange for a wedding ring and all the sexual satisfaction she can handle.

Marry Dante? No doubt he’s a poster boy for Hunks ’R’ Us, but he’s rude, arrogant and Lilly’s sworn enemy. Not to mention the thought of losing her independence is frightening as hell.

When they find themselves falling victim to their own charade, though, it’s anything but hell. It’s heaven, and the last thing either of them wants. The real thing.

Product Warnings
This book contains redneck werewolves, inconvenient hormones, and a whole new use for cat toys. Uncontrollable meowing may occur.

Teaser:
"I have a proposition for you."
"If it has anything to do with whipped cream and handcuffs, I'm not interested." Hoo boy. Was that ever a fat, hairy lie.
Dante's eyes darkened as he licked his lips. "Not what I originally had in mind, but now that you mention it..."
She stacked her arms over her chest-as much out of frustration as to hide the perky saluting of her traitorous nipples. "Could you please keep your dirty mind on track?"
"You're the one who brought up the whipped cream and handcuffs, kitten."
She narrowed her eyes. "What did you just call me?"
He chuckled. "Don't get your fur in a tizzy. I could have said pussy."
"You would," she grumbled.

My Thoughts:

The blurb pretty much tells the story; the fun is in getting there. "Cat Scratch Fever" is funny, sweet, sexy and steamy. There were a few times I found myself rolling my eyes or raising my eyebrows, but otherwise I really enjoyed it.

This scene had me going "WTF?"
Being shifters, they didn't have to worry about human STDs, so condoms were strictly to prevent pregnancy amongst their kinds. But an unpleasant allergy to latex made condoms out of the question for her. "I can do even better than that. I have an IUD."

So shifters can't get STDs but they have allergies? That doesn't make sense. Why not have Lilly use an IUD as a preference? Why make it a medical necessity? It's a minor matter overall.

The other eye rolling moment was this thought by Lilly:
Because right now, Dante and his wonder cock were too potent to resist.

It made me laugh even as I rolled my eyes. "Wonder cock"? Really? Sounds more like she's talking about a BOB.

I also thought that Anna's actions at the end of the story were a bit over the top but I was expecting her to do something. Those moments aside, I enjoyed the romance and the sex scenes. And the humor. There's lots of humor, but it doesn't overshadow the story or the characters. The story moves quickly, as does the romance. It's not quite a friends to lovers trope, but pretty close. Dante and Lilly have been acquainted for several years. When Dante proposes to Lilly, she's resistant at first but it offers her a solution to her land problem and after their mutual masturbation scenes, she finds herself attracted to Dante. To his surprise, he's attracted to Lilly.
"Maybe I was wrong about Lilly all these years." Had he been? Truthfully, he'd been all too willing to only see what he'd perceived to be her pain-in-the-ass qualities. And mostly that'd been due to his frustration over her determination to get him to sell the land. But was Lilly's dedication to the lynchats' cause any different than his commitment to his pack? Not really, when you got down to it.

Want a fun, sexy, quick read? Then you need to read "Cat Scratch Fever".

Review of Getting Familiar With Your Demon by Jodi Redford

Publisher: Samhain
Release Date: February 28, 2012
Series: That Old Black Magic #4
Buying Links: Samhain     Amazon

Book Blurb from goodreads):

He should push her away…but he’d rather have his wicked way with her.

That Old Black Magic, Book 4

After too many years learning death from the inside out as the familiar of a voodoo queen, soul collector Samael Gorasola betrayed his boss, which landed him on demon death row.

He should have known not even his punishment would come easy, but the deal he’s offered to escape his fate stinks. Become the indentured servant to his despised enemy? No thanks, he’d rather be six feet under. With that in mind, he picks a deadly fight with two demon hunters, only to be rescued by one misguided, deliciously innocent white witch.

Marabella hasn’t a clue what possessed her to help Sam, particularly since he’s not the least bit grateful. She blames it on her overwhelming attraction to the dark, dangerous demon, and her exasperating quest to rid herself of the stubborn curse that guards her virginity. If the guild finds out, though, she can kiss her white-witch status goodbye.

A kiss is exactly what she gets, followed by a consuming hunger that breaks down all heavenly and earthly barriers…and leaves Sam saddled with the one thing he never wanted, a conscience, and a connection to Marabella that puts her soul on the line.

Warning: This book contains torturous use of disco music, one sinfully sexy demon who revels in being bad, a virgin witch whose innocence runs more than skin deep, and plenty of wicked, forbidden sex with explosive side effects—literally.

Teaser:

"Why are you looking at me like that?" he demanded.
"Dude, you saved that cat. A freaking cat."
Her statement hammered into him like a two-by-four. Hell, she was right. If this didn't prove he was going batshit crazy, nothing would.

My Thoughts:

Although you can read this as a stand-alone, I recommend reading book 1 in the series, That Voodoo You Do. The actions in that book lead into this book and account for the circumstances in which Samael finds himself at the beginning of the story. While book 1 fills in some of the back story for this book, you can skip it. But why? It's fun and sexy and so is this one.

Sam is cranky, pissed off, rude, and very much interested in looking out for himself. Six months ago though he did something that landed him in a dungeon, and being tortured daily (Jodi, we have to talk. "It's Raining Men" is a perfectly good, fun song. What do you have against it? :D) Pricilla, the demon king's personal secretary gets him released but that doesn't improve his situation much.

Marabella, Bella for short, is a good witch, a white witch, who is hell-bent on losing her virginity. Thanks to a fortune teller, she believes that she's under a curse which scares men away. She encounters, Sam, a demon, a white witch's natural enemy, and she finds herself drawn to him. Despite their natural enmity, she saves him when he's attacked by two other demons. He's not pleased.

"Getting Familiar With Your Demon" is sexy, sassy, and laugh out loud funny. It expands upon Jodi's TOBM world while giving us more fun and interesting characters. I like Cass, Sam's cousin, a lot. I hope she'll be back. I didn't like Sam much at first - he was cranky, rude, snotty, and generally poorly behaved. But as I got to know him better, I liked him more and more. Bella I took to quicker though I admit I rolled my eyes at the whole "virgin with a curse" bit. I should have trusted Jodi, it wasn't what it seemed at first. Jodi sprinkled in a few twists and turns throughout the story. There is an HEA, and for a while I wasn't sure she could pull it off. Happily, she did and it makes sense, while staying true to the rules established in her world building.  Of course, the sex scenes are both fun and hot, but sadly there's a serious lack of both pufferfish sex (it's a joke that started with book 1) and her trademark menage scene. Still, it's a light fun paranormal with a love story that is a mix of sweet, spicy and "oh no he didn't!". :D

Warning: The book contains graphic sexual scenes.

Some favorite quotes:

For f***'s sake. Sam plowed a hand through his hair as his last shred of patience shuttled off to Hawaii. Without him, damn it.

Mr. Tall, Dark and Deadly stopped beside a scruffy-looking dude wearing denim coveralls and a battered baseball cap. The man took one look at the demon and quickly vacated his spot. Apparently used to strangers giving up seats to him, the demon straddled the stool and snapped his fingers at the stressed-out bartender.

"You're going to make me walk two blocks while I'm bleeding out?" He grunted. "And you witches have the balls to call us evil sadists."

Cass tossed up her arms. "Why are you being so negative?" "Hello? You're talking about Sam here. Pessimistic is his middle name." Nikki cocked her head to the side. "Or is it pissy? I always get the two confused."

Menages in Romance & An Excerpt from "The Naughty List" by Jodi Redford

Jodi Redford, who I first met on Twitter and who writes fun paranormal romances (Pufferfish! You'll have to read her books to understand. :P), is my guest today. Jodi is a lot of fun and gets quite crazy on Twitter. I've had the pleasure of reading and reviewing four of her books and was delighted when Jodi agreed to join me here today. Jodi wrote a post about her experience with menages in romances and also has an excerpt from The Naughty List" to share with us and a copy to give of her new book, "The Naughty List" to give away to one lucky commenter.

At the ripe age of seven, Jodi Redford penned her first epic, complete with stick figure illustrations. Sadly, her drawing skills haven’t improved much, but her love of fantasy worlds never went away. These days she writes about fairies, ghosts, and other supernatural creatures, only with considerably more heat.

She has won numerous contests, including The Golden Pen and Launching a Star. When not writing or working the day job, she enjoys gardening and way too many reality television shows.

Currently residing in Michigan with her husband and menagerie of pets, she is a member of RWA national and Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America.

She loves to hear from readers. You can email her at jodiredford@jodiredford.com and visit her online at www.jodiredford.com.

Ry and Bram are pretty sure Lacey never meant to email a list of some of her raunchiest wants. Particularly the one that tightens their shorts—she wants a threesome. With them. Although they’ve loved her for years, they made a pact to keep Lacey off limits in order to protect their friendship. Now all bets are off. And the quest to give her all she wants—and more—is on.

Warning:
This book contains a wickedly hot M/F/M mĂ©nage that will heat up the holidays. Friends steaming things up in a hot tub. Bondage and blindfolds. Sexy shenanigans at a Christmas tree lot. And maybe even a glimpse of Santa…in a Speedo.

EXCERPT

"Lacey, we need to talk."

Her heart sank as Ry’s tense demand spun in her mind.

They’d read the email. She couldn’t fool herself into believing otherwise. Just like she couldn’t fool herself into thinking she’d get out of the conversation waiting for her on the other side of the bathroom door. Sucking in a deep, fortifying breath, she pushed away from the wall and prepared to face her best friends.

Two men who now—without a question of a doubt—knew she wanted a kinky threesome.

Yeah, this wouldn’t be awkward. At all.

The desire to race back inside the restroom stall and have a mental breakdown—or throw up—was overwhelming. Somehow she found the fortitude to take a shaky step toward the door. Then another. You can do this, damn it. She stepped out into the back hallway. The restaurant was eerily quiet. It was easy to pretend that she was the only one in the entire building.

If only.

Shoving her hands into her coat pockets to hide their trembling, she walked into the main bar area. Ry and Bram hadn’t moved an inch from their posts. They both watched her as she approached, their expressions unreadable. That, more than anything, disturbed her. She’d half hoped Bram would be grinning and cracking lewd comments about how she’d pulled the world’s biggest prank on them.

Prank…

Wait, maybe that’s how she could get out of this—by convincing them it’d merely been a bad joke. It was a long shot, considering the incredibly personal stuff she’d included on the list, but maybe they’d take pity on her and let it go.

She offered the guys a tentative smile. “Sorry about that. You know us women and our tiny bladders.” She winced at her overly cheery tone. Why am I talking about bladders? Trying not to feel like the biggest moron on the planet, she cleared her throat. “Anyway, you wanted to speak to me about something?”

Ry stared at her for a long moment, his eyes dark and intense. She couldn’t remember ever having been under the full power of his focus like that. It took every ounce of her willpower not to shiver. Or duck and hide behind the bar. “Why didn’t you tell us, Lace?”

Although it was pathetic and ridiculous, she decided to play dumb. “Tell you what?”

Of course Ry wouldn’t let her off that easy. “You know damn well what I’m talking about. Your threesome fantasy.”

She forced a laugh. “Oh. That. I thought you guys would get a chuckle over it. I only wish I could have seen your faces when you read the email.” Not that she’d needed to be there. It wasn’t exactly difficult to conjure twin expressions of stupefied shock.

Actually, the shock she could handle. It was the inevitable pity concerning her delusional fantasy land that had her stomach in knots.

Bram sidled up next to Ry. A frown marred his features. “It was a…joke?”

“Well, duh. Of course.” She rolled her eyes for good measure. “I can’t believe you both fell for it.”

For a brief moment she swore Bram looked disappointed. Ry, on the other hand, just leveled her with his patented let’s-cut-through-the-bullshit stare. “It wasn’t a joke. I know it and you know it.”

“Don’t be silly. Do you think I’d tell you all of that embarrassing stuff if it was real?”

The rugged planes of Ry’s face softened, but the heat in his gaze didn’t abate. “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about.”

“I—I didn’t say I was embarrassed.” Oh crap. Yes, she did. She really needed to learn how to choose her damn words better. She cleared her throat, figuring it was past time for a fast recovery. “Why would I be embarrassed over a joke?”

“Because it isn’t one. But judging from how flustered you’re acting, I’d say it’s a safe bet you didn’t intend for Bram and me to ever know about any of it. And that’s really unfair of you, Lace.”

The accusation in Ry’s stare was almost unbearable. A thick ball of shame wedged in her throat. She’d always been brutally honest with him and Bram before, hadn’t hidden anything from either of them up until now. But there were some things you didn’t go blabbing to your business partners, for God’s sake—like the desire to be tied up and blindfolded for a night of raunchy sex. “C-could we just forget any of this happened?”

“It’s too late for that, Lace. You can’t expect us to pretend we don’t know. To not wonder.” Ry stepped closer, his gaze drifting to her mouth. Hunger burned in his eyes.

Her heart thumped in response. She’d imagined that particular look on his face countless times, never believing she’d see it in actuality. This had to be a dream. Or another of her fantasies. The last part of his statement registered and she blinked. “W-wonder? About what?”

“You. Us.” His knuckles brushed the underside of her jaw, tipping it ever so slightly upwards as his head descended. “This.” The husky word feathered her lips, a prelude to the lush pressure of his mouth upon hers.

Disbelief and pure giddiness combated inside her while one startling thought spun through her brain in a ceaseless loop. RyiskissingmeRyiskissingmeRyiskissingme. His tongue coaxed past her lips and glided over hers, the sensation drowning out the delirious chorus in her head. He tasted of coffee and aroused male. It was the most delicious combination of all time. Even as she was reveling in that fact, a pair of hands slid around her hips from behind. Bram’s heat blanketed her back. There was no mistaking the hard ridge of his erection nudging her tailbone.

This can’t be happening. But even as she was trying to assure herself of that, Ry reluctantly broke their kiss and leaned back. Their gazes crashed into each other for a moment before he glanced over her head at Bram. Some unspoken communication passed between the two men. Still dizzy from Ry’s kiss and confused as hell, she craned her neck to look up at Bram. Without warning, his mouth staked its own claim, taking over where Ry’s had left off.

Her senses reeled from the unexpected double whammy. Getting the daylights kissed out of her by Ry was incredible enough, adding Bram to the mix…it was a damn miracle she was still standing upright. As if her body was looking to change that status quo, she swayed, her knees threatening to buckle. Bram freed one hand from her waist and tunneled his fingers through her hair, managing to hold her steady and at the same time tilt her head for better access to her mouth. His tongue was just as insistent as Ry’s and possibly twice as bold.

A gruff, slightly irritated cough issued from Ry. Bram released her, his tongue taking its time to depart her mouth. Dazzled, she licked her lips and attempted to form a coherent thought. “I—I don’t understand. What’s going on here?” She’d been certain they’d be freaked out by the email. Having them all but devour her was the last reaction she’d been expecting, for damn sure.

Bram caressed her hip. “We want to give you that threesome, Lace. Along with everything else on your list.”

 GUEST POST

Thanks, Bea, for having me on your blog today to talk about a favorite—and controversial—topic of mine: threesomes in books.

In the erotic romance world, mĂ©nages are undoubtedly a popular pairing. Or I guess that should say multi pairing. It’s become less and less taboo over the past few years, and in many instances, the pairings have expanded beyond the typical threesome to become four, five, six—you name it—someones. Personally, that’s a tad too crowded for me, but I can see how the erotic possibilities are titillating to many readers.

I’ll be the first to admit that I wasn’t an immediate sell on the whole “mĂ©nage in a romance” concept when they first flooded the marketplace. I couldn’t fathom how a relationship existing beyond the standard twosome could work, or be romantically satisfying. Don’t get me wrong, I knew there were real life polyamorous relationships out there, but because I didn’t actually know anyone practicing that lifestyle, the dynamics involved were foreign to me. Then I read Lorelie James’ Rough, Raw and Ready, and my virginal mĂ©nage blinders were ripped off.

Oh, lordy, were they ripped off. *wipes sweat from brow* Not only was that book so wonderfully hot and sexy, it was loaded with enough damn conflict to keep my stomach churning and my fingers furiously flipping the virtual pages. Just like that, I’d become a mĂ©nage convert. Yes, I’ll admit it was the sexiness between the sheets that initially lured me in, but it was the amazing and heartbreaking conflict the characters shared that stamped the seal on my newfound love affair with mĂ©nages. It made perfect sense to me now, why these books were vastly appealing. Not only did they fulfill that taboo fantasy of being the complete focus of two (or more) men’s devoted and lusty attention, but if done right, these books were capable of punching you right in the emotional jugular as you suffered along with the characters as they struggled to find a way to make their unconventional relationships work. Because let’s face it, sometimes loving one person can be tough. Try adding another to that equation.

So here’s my challenge to you. If you’ve never read a mĂ©nage, think about stepping out of your comfort zone, and give one a try. Just like me, you might be surprised, and a new fan.
