Blurb from goodreads:

A mermaid statue could be the cause of heartbreak or everlasting romance for a practical-minded police chief and his first love—in the second of the delicious Bayberry Island trilogy by national bestselling author Susan Donovan….

Every instinct told Police Chief Clancy Flynn that his island’s claim to fame was nothing but a silly tourist attraction. But now and then, he couldn’t help but wonder if his lifetime of bad romances—starting with the pretty tourist who broke his twelve-year-old heart—could be traced back to a childhood prank involving that very statue….

Then one day the pretty tourist comes barreling back into Bayberry—all grown-up and on the run with her niece. Though Evelyn McGuinness is wanted for kidnapping, she tries to persuade Clancy that there’s more to the story. Now the by-the-book police chief must make the toughest decision of his life: to take Evelyn into custody—or into his arms….

I know I'm biased but is he cute or what? He was trying to sleep while I took pictures of his adorableness.

Sunday Book Share #103

http://www.talksupeblog.com/search/label/Bought%20Borrowed%20and%20Bagged

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe; and Library Loot co-hosted by The Captive Reader and Silly Little Mischief. All of these memes are about sharing the print and digital books received and/or posts and events on the blog.

So my week off did not go as planned. Instead of helping at Habitat, I came down with a sinus infection and asthma flare. I didn't get around to visiting many posts or blogs last week, my apologies. I hope to do better this week. I spent the past week dozing but not sleeping, thank you, steroids :(, reading, vegging, and watching TV. I'm slowly getting better, actually feeling human again as of Saturday. Goof has kept me company but gives me disgusted looks when my coughing spasms interfere with his sleeping on my lap. Because I do it just to bother him, of course. smh
