I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. It's a chance to share the print
and digital books we've received and posts and events on the blog.
I had a busy week at school and reading books for the Ho Ho Ho Read-a thon. I got a little bit behind on reviews but I'll get caught up. This week is the American Thanksgiving and my school is closed Thursday and Friday so I'll have a 3 day work week. Not too shabby. :) I may start writing my Christmas cards; most years I run late with cards. If you're celebrating Thanksgiving, what are your plans?

Did you add any books to your shelves or e-readers last week? Leave a link to your Sunday Post so I can visit you during the week.
Thanks
for visiting and happy reading! :)
I love a short week. And when it comes with a feast so much the better! Seriously though I can't believe it's this week.
ReplyDeleteThe cat seems to approve of your new book. :) And On Thin Icing looks fun. Have a super Sunday, and a good week.
I know, Thanksgiving came up so quickly! Enjoy your feast. :) Have a good week. :)
DeleteGreat haul! The Rogue Not Taken looks really good! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! It does look good. :)
DeleteI'm thinking about running away for Thanksgiving. True story. We'll see how it goes. You get the weirdest search terms. Yay for Nuts. Can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteWhatever works for you, lol. Hopefully you have a good time, whatever you do. :)
DeleteI'm looking forward to Nuts also, soon. :)
Congrats on your wins, Bea :) It seems we were both very lucky last week!
ReplyDeleteYour new books look great, I hope you'll enjoy them all.
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.

We were lucky last week. :) Have a good week!
DeleteWe're going out with some friends for an unusual Thanksgiving dinner at an Indonesian restaurant. Then, my husband has to work on Friday.
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds like a nice way to spend Thanksgiving. :) Enjoy!
DeleteI have to make my Christmas cards too but I need to wait until the decorations go up so I can take a picture of the kids by the tree.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on all your wins!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Bea! Happy Reading! ox
You make your own cards? Nice.
DeleteHave a good week and happy Thanksgiving!
On Thin Icing looks like it will be a good one. Happy reading and have a great upcoming week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brandi, you too!
DeleteExtra days off -- that's one thing I miss about working for others. (I like the flexibility of self-employment, though.) Mr. Bookwyrm only gets Thursday, but we'll have a nice quiet Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteNice books this week! I've been wanting to start that Sally Goldenbaum series. And I've been debating whether to request A Prisoner in Malta, but I think I'll stick to my resolution not to request books unless I will definitely read them anyway.
Have a lovely week and a wonderful Thanksgiving, and give your kitties an extra pat for me.
Bummerr Mr Bookwyrm only gets Thanksgiving off; I hope you all enjoy your time together. Trimmed with Murder was my first Goldenbaum book but I really enjoyed it. I'll read more by her.
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving and have a good week!
I just found a copy of the Goldenbaum book on the library sale shelf, so I picked it up. [hangs head] I'm incorrigible.
DeleteLOL I really liked it; I hope you do too. :D
DeleteGreat haul! I am curious about Nuts....enjoy your week, and have a great holiday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
Thanks Laurel, have a good week!
DeleteI started to listen to Nuts, but I wasn't thrilled with the narration. So I decided to hold off and just read the book.

I have the ebook but that's good to know about the audio.I'll avoid it.
DeleteHave a good week!
I forget every single year about Christmas cards! I need to sit down and just do them. lol
ReplyDeleteMy kids also have Weds off, so only a 2-day week for them. This is the first year in over 20 yrs that my husband has to work Thanksgiving Day. It's ridiculous! He works in a manufacturing facility and they are making 5 people come in as well as a manager (my husband). Because heaven knows, that ONE day is going to make all the difference in their bottom line espeically considering they won't be running with a full staff. Yeah, I'm pissed. *grumble grumble*
Have a great week, Bea!
Sigh, business. Heaven forbid they give up a drop of profit. I've had jobs where I had to work the major holidays; I don't miss that.
DeleteI'm so excited for the new Sarah Maclean. It sounds fantastic! Nuts was a fun book too. Hope you'll enjoy all your reads this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm looking forward to reading Nuts.
DeleteHave a good week!
Did you get Nuts for 1.99? I hope so, regardless was hilarious. Enjoy your long weekend, and getting caught up.
ReplyDeleteI did! I snapped it up at that price. :)
DeleteEnjoy your holiday and time off!
Awesome haul. I hope you like Nuts. Alice Clayton is hilarious. Love the Giftcard. Congrats on the win. I hope you love all your new books.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Thanks Grace! I've heard such awesome things about Clayton that I couldn't pass up the book.
DeleteHave a good week!
what great reads you have added to your shelf. Hope you enjoy
ReplyDeleteSarah Maclean. Should be a good one. I really enjoyed Hunter's Moon. Love that new cover, and what a nice pen. It's so nice to win those giveaways aren't they?
I read Hunter's Moon years ago and enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading it again. It *is* nice to win at giveaways. :)
DeleteIt's a short work week for me too. Somehow, that always makes the three days worse. I just want it to go fast :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and a great holiday!
Those three days will seem endless but the time off will be worth the wait. :D
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
A three-day week sounds great Bea. I hope you enjoy it and have a lovely Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deborah!

You could have used the contact form or gotten my email off of the contact page.
DeleteI actually have my Christmas cards ready but I do the preprinted type. Our school here has Wednesday thorough Friday off. I really could have used them bring on school Wednesday to help get ready for Thanksgiving!! Congrats on the wins and enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteI use the ready-made cards too but I send out so many that I need to start writing and addressing them. Good luck getting ready for the holiday!
DeleteI'd like to win your cat!
ReplyDeleteAaaaaw, that's sweet. :) There are days I'd happily give him away, lol.
DeleteYou have some great looking books and a good looking cat. Here is my post: http://mixedbookbag.blogspot.com/2015/11/stacking-shelves-november-21-2015.html
ReplyDeleteThanks! Goof is getting all sorts of compliments today. :) I told him but he just ignored me. :D
DeleteI have a short work week this week two and I am so glad. :) That is the great thing about holidays. :) Enjoy your new reads!
ReplyDeleteStormi
Yes, it's a nice aspect of holidays. Enjoy!
DeleteYeah a gift card. What to buy right? I got my copy of Nuts as well for the book club. I hope to start it in the next week or so after I finish a few more review books. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Bea.
ReplyDeleteGift cards are great. :) I'm not sure when I'll start Nuts but I'm looking forward to it.
DeleteOhh A Prisoner of Malta looks interesting, I'm going to check that out. And smart idea to get started on the Christmas Cards, I should do that or at least buy them! Yay for winning gift cards.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's Wednesday and I still haven't started those cards but maybe this weekend. :D Gift cards are fun though choosing what to spend them on can be challenging when there are so many good choices.
DeleteYay for a short work week! Happy reading and writing over the holiday :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna!
DeleteHunter's Moon looks good! Great win there. I hope I get a chance to read Nuts very shortly!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea when I'll get to read Nuts. I need more reading hours in the day. :D
