I'm reading a romantic suspense, "Dangerous Refuge" by Elizabeth Lowell. The quote is from page 56  in the large print paperback.

A spotlight picked out Ace as he spoke. His head gleamed as he smiled and nodded to the scattered applause. "What good is having a casino if you can't  throw a party for your friends and an excellent cause?" he asked clearly.
