The last Sunday post of 2015! A few more days until the New Year and typing or writing 2015 when it should be 2016, sigh. It always takes me a week or two to get it right. :D
I had a good Christmas, quiet and low stress. :) I wasn't able to go see my family but enjoyed the holiday anyway. Christmas Eve a friend and I went out for Chinese food and then on Christmas we went and saw Star Wars. It was good!
Monday it's back to work for another four day week, then off for New Year's Day and a three day weekend. :)

ReplyDeleteIt was a pretty good holiday. :) Happy New Year!
DeleteSounds like you managed to have a lovely Christmas even if you couldn't be with your family.
ReplyDeleteNice to have $100 in Amazon gift cards. Have fun!
It really was! I love my family but being with them wouldn't have been quiet or stress- free.
DeleteCongrats on the gift cards! I got $100 worth of Amazon for xmas, I am now going to see what books I need to get, yes NEED to get ;)
ReplyDeleteChinese and a movie sounds great, not feeling Christmas,as you know, so that would have been nice.
Have a great week, Bea! Happy New Year! ox
Yes, we NEED books! :) I'm sorry your Christmas spirit deserted you, that's rotten. :(
DeleteHappy New Year!
DH and I were on our own for Christmas too. We just relaxed and had a nice day. We made a nice, but small dinner. We should've done Chinese, but didn't think about it. I will have to remember that for next year. My family is in Alaska, so they don't make it here every year. His family is in town for Thanksgiving and then runs to Florida for the winter.
ReplyDeleteAlaska? So, they usually have a white Christmas? Sometimes, a small quiet celebration is just what we need. The Chinese restaurant was quite busy on Christmas Eve, both for dining in and take out. I may do it again for New Year's Eve.
DeleteThat Avon package is amazing! Julia Quinn is probably my favorite historical author and Viscount Who Loved Me is one of my favorites. I've been wanting to reread it lately. Your Christmas sounds nice and low key. I love seeing movies on Christmas day. Have fun spending your gift cards and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAvon sends some amazing packages! You should apply next time it opens up. I don't often go to movies on Christmas but I had fun. It was full but not crazy busy.
DeleteHave a good week and happy New Year!
Glad you had a nice Christmas despite not being able to go to your families. You got a lot of great books and scored with that dollar amount on the GC's. :) Happy Reading!

DeleteSounds like you had a quiet, easy Christmas! I'm not a fan of Chinese, but I can get my Mexican on for any holiday! In fact, I might tell the man that when he comes home on Tuesday from Massachusetts...
ReplyDeleteHe may have trouble getting home as we're getting hit with snow on Tuesday.
DeleteYour winnings are really lovely. Your Christmas sounds perfect with friends and good food. Thanks for this great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and happy New Year!
DeleteThat McQuire book looks amazing! I am going to add it to my TBR and am excited for your review!

ReplyDeleteIt was a good Christmas :) and Star Wars was wonderful!
