I'm reading an erotic romance, "Love Under Two Honchos", by Cara Covington. The quote is from 57%  in the ebook. The 56% point was a rather explicit scene so I skipped ahead.

Alex's legs burned, his lungs struggled for air, and sweat ran down his back between his shoulder blades. He preferred exercise the old-fashioned way-either riding his horse across the miles of Texas pasture, or slugging away on the ranch. The exercise room in Benedict Towers came in a distant third in preferences, but the workout had value despite that.

Blog Tour EXCERPT & 2 GIVEAWAYS - Priestess Dreaming by Yasmine Galenorn

Thanks for joining me for our stop on the PRIESTESS DREAMING blog tour!! Yasmine Galenorn "creates a world I never want to leave", according to Sherrilyn Kenyon... and this is the next adventure in that world. The amount of world building, character development, and GREAT STORYTELLING in the Otherworld series is why it's lasted so long, and why readers keep coming back. PRIESTESS DREAMING is the 16th book in the series, and D'Artigo sister Camille's 6th book as the main point of view. In the series, the three sisters, Camille, Delilah, and Menolly, are each half fae, half "something else". Camille is a Moon witch, who is, with her sisters and their partners, on continuing adventures to protect her family and friends, both on earth and in Otherworld, from a host of evil.

When art conservator Alix London spots a forgery, she knows trouble will follow. So she’s understandably apprehensive when her connoisseur’s eye spots something off about a multimillion-dollar Jackson Pollock painting at Palm Springs’s Brethwaite Museum—her current employer.
Alix is already under fire, the object of a vicious online smear campaign. Now the Brethwaite’s despicable senior curator, obsessed with the “maximization of monetized eyeballs,” angrily refuses to decommission the celebrated Pollock piece. But it’s only when a hooded intruder attacks Alix in her hotel room that the real trouble begins. And when FBI Special Agent Ted Ellesworth—with whom Alix had inadvertently, but thoroughly, botched a budding relationship just a year prior—turns up to investigate the Pollock, Alix knows she’s about to have her hands full.
In her third mystery, Alix London must see through mirages in the desert to uncover the knotted history of the painting—and save herself in the process.

Blurb from goodreads:

Bestselling author of the Wicked Lovely books Melissa Marr’s first contemporary YA novel is a twisted southern gothic tale of obsession, romance, and murder. A killer is obsessed with Eva Tilling. Can she stop him, or will he claim her?

When Eva Tilling wakes up in the hospital, she’s confused—who in her sleepy little North Carolina town could have hit her with their car? And why? But before she can consider the question, she finds that she’s awoken with a strange new skill: the ability to foresee people’s deaths when they touch her. While she is recovering from the hit-and-run, Nate, an old flame, reappears, and the two must traverse their rocky past as they figure out how to use Eva’s power to keep her friends—and themselves—alive. But while Eva and Nate grow closer, the killer grows increasingly frantic in his attempt to get to Eva.

For the first time, New York Times bestselling author Melissa Marr has applied her extraordinary talent to contemporary realism. Chilling twists, unrequited obsession, and high-stakes romance drive this Gothic, racy thriller—a story of small-town oppression and salvation. Melissa’s fans, and every YA reader, will find its wild ride enthralling.
