COYER: Going Back to Basics Challenge Sign Up

COYER, Back to Basics, 2016, 2015, reading challenge

COYER is one of my favorite reading challenges. Between freebies and review copies, I have way too many ebooks crying out to be read. Shush books, your turn is coming! They're noisier than a hungry cat, lol. COYER's focus is exclusively ebooks, and now audio; sorry print book, go to the end of the line.

COYER Scavenger Hunt Sign Up Post

COYER Scavenger Hunt - (un)Conventional Bookviews

It's COYER time again! This summer there are activities galore planned, most of which I will not do but I am going to try do one or two. You can read all about them here.

For those of you unfamiliar with COYER, it's a challenge run several times a year to help you read those freebies cluttering up your ereader. This summer the hosts, Michelle @ Because Reading, Stormi @ Books, Movies, Reviews, Oh My! and Berls @ Fantasy is More Fun are also counting print books. My focus will be on ebooks but a few print books may make their way in.

I'm not going to make a list as my reading lists lately have simply not gone according to plan. :D Instead, I have a total goal: 22 books. That's 2 books a week, which should be doable. Every month I'll include my COYER results in my monthly challenge wrap up post

It's not too late, you can still sign up! If you're participating, good luck and have fun!

“A Month of Giving Thanks with Berls & Michelle” will be a month-long challenge to post every day from November 1st to November 30th about something we’re thankful for. This is about sharing the love and being thankful, so there really aren’t going to be any rules or anything. We just thought it would be nice to invite everyone to join, so that we can all share the love! - See more at: http://www.becausereading.com/givingthanks/#sthash.TKptdpkq.dpufv

COYER Summer Vacation Reading Challenge

Because Reading Is Better Than Real Life and Fantasy Is More Fun are hosting COYER again. This time around COYER is a little different. To begin with, it runs most of the summer; then, instead of being only ebooks, it can be any book - digital, print, audio, doesn't matter- nor do they need to be freebies. There are also read-a-thons planned every few weeks. Full details are here - http://www.becausereading.com/coyers-summer-vacation-sign/

I'm not going to make a list of books as pretty much any book read during the time frame counts. As I read books I'll add them here and I'll also track them during my monthly challenge wrap ups. So, clear out your TBR shelf, whittle down that pile, and join in the summer fun.

COYER - Clean Out Your E-Reader March 2014

I participated in this challenge back in the fall and made some headway reading those free books and review books that had been piling up. Today starts the COYER challenge and I'm diving in again. Along with the Caffeinated Reader's TBR Pile Challenge also going on this month, I should whittle down that TBR pile. I also have a few current review books I'll be reading but most of my reading this month will be for these two challenges.

For the month of March Fantasy is More Fun & Because Reading is better than real life are hosting this challenge. The idea is to start cleaning out your free or nearly free E-reads! Not only will you get to those reads that have been sitting unread for too long, but 2 participants will have a chance to win prizes in the Review Posts Giveaway.

So, what books count? The book must have been FREE or NEARLY FREE: under $5, Kindle Deals, Netgalley, Edelweiss & author review requests only (NO blog tour reviews at this time). Anyone caught not using a free book, or using a book that is pirated will be removed from challenge.

Sign up here, then between now and March 8th create a post announcing that you’re participating and a list of books you hope to read during the challenge (this can change). If you don’t have a blog this can be done at the Goodreads group “Two Girls and A Challenge” Any participant that doesn’t have a starter post up by 11:59 PM EST March 8th (giving you procrastinators a little more time!) will be ineligible for the grand prize.

Start reading your books (March 1st) and reviewing them, on your blog, goodreads, Booklikes, etc. Put the link to your review (to the review URL, not your web address) on the review linky available March 1st, listing your blog name and the name of the book you reviewed. When you write your review, you MUST include the challenge logo and linky somewhere on the post so that we can all check out the reviews. (I just know I'll forget that part, lol.)

There will be challenges, giveaways, and a twitter party, see the details here.
The Levels:

Each person who participated will be able to grab an award ribbon at the end to put up on their blog announcing your accomplishment. Another level has been added to reflect the amazing reading prowess of some readers last time.

Lightly Clean – 1 to 4 eBooks
Spring Clean - 5 to 9 eBooks
Deep Clean - 10 to 14 eBooks
Xtreme Clean - 15 or more eBooks

Since I'm doing two challenges this month and have some review books I have to read, my starting goal is Lightly Clean. At the end of the month, I'll post my results in my monthly challenge wrap up post.

My very tentative reading list:

1) Gwynneth Ever After by Linda Poitevin
2) Against the Mark by Kat Martin
3) The Long Way Home by Jessica Scott
4) No Flowers Required by Cari Quinn

Clean out your E-reader Challenge November 2013

Yep, I've signed up for another challenge. :D Apparently I'm a glutton for punishment. However, my Kindle is obese so maybe this well help whittle it down a bit. The challenge runs the entire month of November. The Clean Out Your E-reader Challenge is hosted by Fantasy is More Fun & Because Reading is better than real life.

The idea is to read some of those freebies that have been collecting dust on your e-reader, whether you legally downloaded them for free, received them for review, or purchased them for less than $5. Yep, ebooks you bought on sale count as long as they were less than $5. Books over that price or that were illegally downloaded don't count and you will be removed from the challenge.

There will be challenges and giveaways, maybe a Twitter chat. During the month-long challenge you can share your progress on Twitter using the hashtag #COYER.

Want to join? Go here and sign up; you can sign up through 11:9PM PST tonight.

These are the e-books I'm aiming to read this month. I'll track my success here as well as post a wrap up in my monthly challenge wrap up post.

1) Thursday Morning Breakfast (and Murder) Club by  Liz Stauffer
2) Maddie's Choice by Joyce Zeller
3) If You Were Mine by Bella Andre
4) Echo Prophecy by Lindsey Fairleigh
5) Happily Ever Afterlife, anthology
6) Kissing Under the Mistletoe: A Sullivan Christmas by Bella Andre
7) All I Want for Christmas Is A Duke by
