I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. It's a chance to share the print
and digital books we've received and posts and events on the blog.
The weather has continued to be mild and I'm loving it. Of course, last winter started out mild too but then it went apocalyptic on us halfway through so I have my fingers crossed. I think I'm going to my stepmother's for Christmas, just for the weekend though. I'm too new at my job to get time off. Though, I may be forced to take some sick time as my asthma has flared up. It started late Friday afternoon and went downhill rapidly on Saturday. It's my annual holiday tradition; it wouldn't be Christmas if I wasn't battling asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, or some combination of the three. You're probably thinking "But Bea, it's three weeks until Christmas! You'll be better by then." Probably not; my recovery time is 2 - 8 weeks. Happy holidays to me! :P

That sucks about the asthma, I hope it goes quickly and doesn't get too bad.
ReplyDeleteIt's been mild here too, it was warm today (relatively) and sunny, I'm hoping it continues for as long as possible! Your books look good, I didn't get anything new this week (well one new one I didn't even know was out, but other than that...)
Be well and feel better!
I hope you feel better before Christmas! On the bright side, you got some great books to keep you company while you get better! :)
ReplyDeleteOh no Bea, perhaps your asthma will clear quickly for a change, or at least hopefully it's a bit better by the time Christmas rolls around!
ReplyDeleteLifeboudn sounds good, hope you enjoy and have a great week and feel better
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better Bea! I am so sad that you are not feeling well. Try to get as much rest as you possibly can. I am sending virtual hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been warm here also and I am hoping that doesn't mean come January we have a major snow that keeps up trapped inside for days. :)
Have a great week, Bea! Rest and Happy Reading!
I hope you feel better soon! I know what you mean about the recovery time with asthma. I've been lucky in that mine is pretty mild but I know as soon as I feel that pressure on my chest my energy is going to take a hit and I'm going to feel tired and ill for weeks. You got some great books this week. I like Carla Neggers (though she does have her flaws) and I want that Nora Roberts!! Have a great week and get some rest my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt's only 3 weeks until Christmas?! I like saying 18 days. It seems longer that way. lol I hope you get better before then and if it *must* follow form then I'll {{{posivibe}}} the shit outta it so it's gone in 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteOh please let me know how the audio is for Roberts book. I have been thinking about listening. Oh I remember your winter last year...eek gads lets hope we don't see a repeat!
ReplyDeleteI have asthma, too, and it was really bad for me a few years ago...and then, finally, I found a good combination of meds that seem to control it. But every once in a while, everything goes haywire...
ReplyDeleteNow I get a pneumonia shot every few years, and that helps.
I hope you stave off the bad stuff this winter!
Your new books look good....Sweet Cinderella caught my eye. Enjoy!
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Feel better soon! My friend uses oregano "juice" to help with her flare ups. She'd crush the leaves and get the juice, about a tbsp., and take it orally. Just thought I'd share that if you wan to explore natural options.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon and happy reading!
Hope you feel better soon. Flare Ups are the worst. Just relax. You got some great looking books.
