Sunday Book Share #155

http://www.talksupeblog.com/search/label/Bought%20Borrowed%20and%20Bagged

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. All of these memes are about sharing the print and digital books received and/or posts and events on the blog.

Done with summer subbing! I'm not scheduled to work again for a while so I'm hoping that this week I'll be able wrap up car shopping.

I had to laugh Saturday night. A friend who lives up the road was out for an evening walk and saw an ambulance turn into my condominium complex. She immediately whipped out her cell phone and called me, "You better not be having an asthma attack!" LOL No, no asthma attack. The ambulance wasn't there for me; it was parked in front of the building next to mine. I hope my neighbor is okay and I'm grateful to my friend for checking on me even as her comment made me laugh.

  1. That's funny. My mom lives in a condo and most of the residents are seniors, she's one of the younger but it's not uncommon for there to be ambulances there and it gets everyone talking.

Good luck with the car! Hope you're enjoying the end of sumer... the Cornwell book looks good, and so does the Frankie Bow one.

  3. I have so done that with friends when I've seen an ambulance or firetruck going in where they live. I've lost quite a few friends, so I get a little anxious about that kind of stuff. Glad you're okay though, and pe your neighbor is. Enjoy your books!

  11. I a glad you weren't having an asthma attack. The meds leave me feeling worse than the attack - but breathing is kind of important.

  13. That is funny, I am glad it wasn't you. There was a fire close to my house (I was driving home) and the direction the smoke was coming from I thought it was my house. I drove so fast to get home and when I realized it wasn't us I was so happy. I told my house "OMG Thank god, the house isn't on fire" The look on his face made me laugh for hours.

Good luck with car shopping, we are down to one car at the moment and maybe next year will be enjoying that hell of looking :)

Have a great week Bea! Happy Reading ox

  16. I'm glad it wasn't you having an asthma attack but it was definitely sweet of your friend to call you right away! I have exercise induced asthma and have been struggling with it lately as I try to figure out a workout plan that is fast enough to do anything but not so fast that I quit being able to breathe! Good luck with the car shopping! I hope you find something you really like. I'm hoping mine makes it a few more years but I am looking forward to having something a little newer and a little smaller! Chapelwood looks really interesting! Hope you enjoy your new books and have a great week!
