"Why don't we call the restaurant? It's probably still open."
"I don't have the number."
"It was Crumb, wasn't it?"
Vera nodded. "Bloody stupid name for a restaurant."
I brought out my iPhone, Googled the number, and called them. "They said the reservation is for tomorrow night."
"Oh God,"she wailed. "I'm such a fool."
Somehow I know exactly what is meant by a 'cozy' murder mystery! There is just something about some books that makes you want to curl up in bed and pleasantly spend a day reading. Also, there is nothing worse than getting a reservation wrong when you're with a group of people!

The book's cover is so appealing. Love that little cottage with the dog in front. Good dialogue in your excerpt too. This sounds like a delightful book.
ReplyDeleteHere's the link to my Friday post: RESCUE MY HEART.

ReplyDeleteI think the name for the restaurant is brilliant... lol
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
This one looks so good! I missed out on the tour, but I was able to snag a copy on NetGalley, so I will be reading it for the Clean Sweep ARC Challenge in May. I hope you're enjoying it!
