Sunday Book Share #74

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews, and Library Loot co-hosted by The Captive Reader and Silly Little Mischief that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. All of these memes give book bloggers the chance to share print and digital books they've received, and posts and events at their blogs.

I had the flu last week but it was relatively mild fortunately. I also went back to the doctor for the wrist I injured back in November and I start physical therapy for it this week. It was a quiet week overall, except for some books, see below.

The Week In Review

Odd, interesting, or funny search phrases leading to the blog: More from my Cat Thursday posts - "i regret nothing cat pancake" and "how to catch a cat"; I'm not sure where these came from, "the peculiar case of lord finsbury's diamonds", "friends who dont pay what they owe to you quotes", and "ron weasley's knit blanket"; still popular are, "writing from a dogs perspective", "bea bea boo", "read more books", and "threesome"

I had an EXCELLENT book week. :)

"Written In Red" was a gift from a friend; she loves the book and knew it was on my wishlist; she also gave me an Amazon gift card. "Dreams and Shadows" was a consolation prize from Harper Collins when I wasn't accepted into their Harper Voyager program for bloggers.

This lovely is a Kindle Paperwhite, the newest addition to my Kindle herd. It was a gift from a friend but not the same one who gave me "Written In Red". I tell you, last week was like Christmas and my birthday combined with all of the gifts I received. :)

  2. Oh no, not the flu! I've been crazy lately with the antibacterial stuff when at the store. Ugh, I don't want to get it. Glad you're feeling better, though. Woohoo ... a new kindle baby! :D Enjoy it and your books, Bea.

  15. I'm glad your bout with the flu was mild. I've heard some terrible stories this year; I'm thankful you weren't one of them! And I hope your PT goes well. I had PT for a sprained ankle that still hurt after 6 months, and it was very helpful.

Congrats on the new books and especially on the Kindle Paperwhite! I love mine. It's easier to read than my older Sony reader, and the backlight is really nice at night. I love the look of that Sheila Connelly mystery, too.
