I had the flu last week but it was relatively mild fortunately. I also went back to the doctor for the wrist I injured back in November and I start physical therapy for it this week. It was a quiet week overall, except for some books, see below.

I had an EXCELLENT book week. :)
Gifted
"Written In Red" was a gift from a friend; she loves the book and knew it was on my wishlist; she also gave me an Amazon gift card. "Dreams and Shadows" was a consolation prize from Harper Collins when I wasn't accepted into their Harper Voyager program for bloggers.
This lovely is a Kindle Paperwhite, the newest addition to my Kindle herd. It was a gift from a friend but not the same one who gave me "Written In Red". I tell you, last week was like Christmas and my birthday combined with all of the gifts I received. :)

ReplyDeleteYou have the bestest friends in the whole wide world!!! I can't think of a better way to get over the flu, too. Cuddle on the couch with the new freebies, one of your Kindles, and get better!!! Nice haul, too ;)

Because reading is better than real life
Great haul! I have been trying to convince myself that I don't need a Kindle Paperwhite. I already have three other Kindles including my Kindle Touch. I hope you enjoy all the new books you got this week too. Come see what I got at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYou have some lovely looking books! Glad you are feeling better...enjoy your reads. And thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm curious about where Labor Day was filmed...lol

Nice collection! Love my kindles! Happy Reading! If you'd like, you can stop by my STS Following your blog and would love a follow back please :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with physical therapy, hope you feel better soon. I've heard Dreams and Shadows is good.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your bout with the flu was mild. I've heard some terrible stories this year; I'm thankful you weren't one of them! And I hope your PT goes well. I had PT for a sprained ankle that still hurt after 6 months, and it was very helpful.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new books and especially on the Kindle Paperwhite! I love mine. It's easier to read than my older Sony reader, and the backlight is really nice at night. I love the look of that Sheila Connelly mystery, too.
Great new books! I've added Reunion with Death to my Good Reads list. Good luck with the physical therapy!
