I'm participating in Feed My Reader Friday hosted by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer, The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer, and Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews. The memes allow book bloggers the chance to share print and digital books
they've received and different posts and events at their blog.
So, as it turns out, I did not drive down to my parents house for Christmas. My asthma, which has been mild this fall, decided to flare up. I've spent the past week curled up on the couch, coughing, sneezing and sucking on my nebulizer. The plus to this has been I've done lots of reading and that led to lots of reviews, both here and on goodreads (I put up about another half dozen or so on there).
News/Info: Merry Christmas!
BOOKS
Review - Print
I'll be doing a giveaway of the first two books in this series sometime in January.
Won - ePub
I won this from the author in a Twitter giveaway.
Bought - Kindle & Print
Yes, I indulged and bought both the ebook and the print editions. Kelley is one of my fave authors so it was a no-brainer.
Kindle Freebies
I also received three Amazon gift cards from the kids and families at school. So far, I only bought the Kindle version of Forbidden.
I hope you all had a good Christmas or a good day, whichever is relevant, and Happy New Year!
Don't forget to leave a link to your post so I can stop by and comment.
Interesting books this week. I haven't heard of these ones. Happy reading.

If you haven't read Kelley Armstrong, you really should! She writes excellent urban fantasy and horror. Jessica Scott's book in the post is a non-fiction but she also writes romances.
DeleteI really want to read forbidden, Kelley Armstrong is one of my favourite authors too! But for some reason I can't seem to buy her e-books yet as I don't live in the US. I am looking forward to your review!
ReplyDeleteYou can't get any of her ebooks? Oh that's rotten. Do you have a kindle? I could try lending one to you, depending on the geographical restrictions.
DeleteI still haven't read Kelly's books, but I do own a bunch of them. I really need to make time to read my books from my shelf, Enjoy, your books! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I did while curled up on teh couch was to work on my tbr pile. All but one of the reviews I posted on the blog last week was just because; only one was a promised review. I enjoyed it immensely. Good luck with your reading!
DeletePoor girl! *hugs* You know you need to go on book buying spree to make up for shitty Christmas, right? and to buy something for your kitty as well ;)
ReplyDeleteKelley Armstrong's cover looks great, better than those twilight imitations. I hope you enjoy all your reads, Bea and get better soon! Happy New Year!
I do need to buy something for Goof; poor baby, his asthma has been acting up too. :(
DeleteComparing Kelley's cover to Twilight? O_o Both Kelley and SubPress are better than that. :D
Happy New Year!
Awe, I hope you feel better. We know all about asthma at our house. Nice haul. Happy reading.

I was disappointed not to see my parents, they are in their 80's and not doing well. I'm aiming to head down in either January or Fenruary on one of the three day weekends. Asthma is the pits but mine is a bit better thanks to the surgery so I'm happy.
DeleteI love the Kindle Freebies too. Nice haul. Sometime we don't always get what we want. Hope you have a better week, next week too.

Thanks :)
DeleteSounds like you've had a fairly good week minus the coughing, wheezing, and all of that part. Hope you have a Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my SP.
