I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. It's a chance to share the print
and digital books we've received and posts and events on the blog.
It was a quiet week at school with many families keeping their children home, except for New Year's Eve when a bunch of children came in. After 2 weeks of 4 day work weeks, working 5 straight days this week will feel odd. I got together with some friends after work on NYE; we got Chinese take out and hung out chatting and catching up and drinking Asti Spumante. It was mellow and very pleasant. Now if this darn asthma flare would clear up. It was getting better and then cold, bitter winter air came in and I'm back to doing albuterol every 4 - 6 hours and using the nebulizer.

DeleteI love Lisa Gardner's books, but haven't read any of her short stories....I like the look of 3 Truths and a Lie.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new books and the New Year. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
My oldest had terrible asthma attacks when he was younger but after moving, he has been asymptomatic - hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice New Year's Eve, Bea! But I'm sorry your asthma is still giving you trouble, and hope the current flare settles down soon.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I'm going to find it hard to get back to work in a week or two (whenever my January project shows up.) Even though, as a freelancer, I set my own hours, it's been lovely to be completely project-free the last few weeks!
Oh no! I hope the asthma flare up goes away soon. This cold weather is rough on my lungs and my asthma is in no way as severe as yours. I love the Joe Gunther series though of course it's been ages since I've read any so there's no telling what has happened to the characters. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWhere it hurts sounds good, hope you enjoy. Happy reading and have a good upcoming week.
ReplyDeleteRelaxing NYE celebrations are my favorite, the hubby and I just stayed home and binged Netflix, haha. I barely stayed up to midnight too, sleep is the best ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'll be crying this week when I go back to work and have to work five days in a row. I'm already crying just thinking about going to work tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHope it's an easy week for you!
Ooh I see some books to add to my evergrowing list of books I want to read!! Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteYou have some very yummy books arriving on your shelf this week, Bea... I can't wait to see what you think of them.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.

Dammit! Now I want Chinese food. *pouts* I'm going to have to break out the whip on that asthma of yours. It has been warned.
ReplyDeleteThe kids go back to school Tuesday then exams start the 13th which means they're out at 1:00 on the 13, 14, 15, 19, 20 and off the 18, 21, & 22. January is a short month for them. Hey, I'm not complaining. lol
Have a wonderful week, Bea! xo
Hope it gets warmer soon where you are, Bea, and you feel better! Delicious freebies on your shelf, my dear :) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI have a 4 day work week anyway so I really haven't had any changes in the last few weeks lol Now I feel like I need a vacation.
ReplyDeleteYour New Years sounds fun, we hung with friends and eat and drank, it was a lot of fun
I hope the asthma gets under control soon!
Have a great week, Bea! Happy Reading! ox
