Good lord but it got cold towards the end of the week. Temps in the daytime were only in the teens (Fahrenheit) but with windchill it was only about 3 degrees. At night temps were in the negative numbers before windchill. Brrrrr! It was a quiet but busy week otherwise with teaching, editing, promoting a blog tour, and reading.

I won this from the author as part of the release party for her new book, "Wolves' Bane". I also organized a blog tour for her, with a multi-book giveaway, interviews, reviews, excerpts, and guest posts. See the tour schedule here.
Purchased
Between paperbackswap.com and Kindle deals, I had another good week buying books on my wishlist.
I already had the print book of "Feed" but couldn't resist the Kindle book when it was on sale.
Library - Kindle & Audio
I'm reading the Gray book at naptime at school and listening to the Hillerman as I commute to and from work.
Thanks
for visiting and happy reading! :)
I'm freezing and I'm not liking it. I'm not prepared for cold weather and we rarely get super cold weather here so when it happens I kind of go to pieces! I loved your review of The Hexed. The Hillerman is on my TBR. I really enjoyed the Tony Hillerman books so I'm curious as to how she compares. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI grew up in cold weather and I still don't like it, brrrrr.
DeleteIt's been so long since I read one of my Tony Hillerman books that so far I'm not making any comparisons.
Have a great week :)
I don't like cold weather.I hope you love all your new books. The Sara Humphreys book looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Thanks Grace. Unbound does look interesting, fingers crossed!
DeleteWe've been cold here too, and got hammered with snow. It can go away now. Hope you warm up there- we're supposed to but it will still be cold.
ReplyDeleteA Thousand of You looks good, enjoy! :)
It seems most of the continental US got hit with the cold. We got about an inch or so of snow and I can deal with that. :)
DeleteSo far A Thousand Pieces of You is good, more YA than I expected.
Great books! We don't have snow in where I live, so I always complain about the heat haha!
ReplyDeleteHere's my StS
LOL I'll be doing that come summer time. :D
DeleteHow To Run With A Naked Werewolf was such a fun read! I also love that cover for Assassin...very sleek/mysterious :). Nice haul!
ReplyDeleteNinja Girl
I like the Naked Werewolf series, it's fun.
DeleteThanks for visiting!
It's cold here, too, and looks like it is going to stay that way for another week! Temps in the 30s are going to feel tropical. I have A Thousand Pieces of You. I don't know when I will get to it, but I have seen many, many stellar reviews for it. Right now I am reading Compulsion and liking it quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that sad when 30s feels tropical? Yuck. Well, it is winter. I've also seen some excellent reviews for A Thousand Pieces of You and so far I'm enjoying it.
DeleteThanks for visiting!
I do love Ruthie Knox's novels in general, but Roman Holiday was a disappointment for me - maybe that's because it was released as a serial, I hope you'll love the whole story in one novel ! Have a great week ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, that's good to know. I love Ruthie's work and I've been looking forward to this one. I'm not a fan of serials though. I did read the first installment but then stopped and waited for the rest. *crosses fingers*
DeleteHave a great week!
I really think when it's this cold we should be allowed not to leave the house until Spring. It was in the negative numbers here also. It's so cold my dog didn't want to go outside, his poor little feet.
ReplyDeleteYou had a very productive week and got some great books!
Have a wonderful week Bea! Happy Reading!!!
I like that idea! Motion seconded. :D
DeleteThanks, you too!
Great covers on the books you've purchased...sure to help warm things up a bit.
ReplyDeleteMy post: http://www.bookclublibrarian.com/2015/01/weekly-book-recap-93.html
Heh, they should help. :)
DeleteHave a good week.
Nice haul. I've read How to Run Naked and it's a good read. It's actually a pretty good series.
ReplyDeleteKristin @ Book Sniffers Anonymous
It is a good series, I enjoy it.
DeleteYou got Feed..wahoo I love that trilogy. Stay warm and read about zombies!
ReplyDeleteIt is an excellent trilogy.
DeleteEnjoy your new books! I am curious about Feed....and now I must check it out.
ReplyDeleteHope you stay warm...cold is not something we really have here; our summer heat is our claim to "fame."
I am used to it...so cold might be harder to adjust to.
Thanks for sharing...and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
You just need lots and lots of layers to deal with the cold, and cocoa. :)
DeleteFEED is slow ot start but then it grabs you and next thing you know, you're lost in that world.
My copy of How to Run with a Naked Werewolf is gathering dust, I have to read it soon!!
ReplyDeleteREAD IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!! :D
DeleteYou have some great books this week.
ReplyDeleteWe were actually well below freezing here on the southern coast. Icicles were hanging off my car. Monday we'll be in the 70s again. Yeah for that. Now I just wait for spring.
My Sunday Post - http://fuonlyknew.com/2015/01/11/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-92-and-the-sunday-post/
Brrrr. I'm ready for 70, but that can't be healthy having the temps jump around like that.
DeleteNice haul Bea, stay warm. I got a couple items off my wishlist that were on sale so that was awesome :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week
Oh it's been so cold here too! We even hit 19 degrees two nights this week, which is COLD for Dallas! I hope you enjoy How to Run With a Naked Werewolf,I just loved it! Stay warm :)

ReplyDeleteI really really need to go ahead and read my copy of A Thousand Pieces of You, I was planning on reading it before the year ended but I couldn't because I got sick. I need to try and work it in next month. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
Suz @ A Soul Unsung
I grew up in cold weather and I still live in cold weather and I rather live in Florida with my dad. I hope you enjoy your books and week.
ReplyDeleteOh hell no, that's too damn cold. I have Thousand Pieces, but need to get my ass in gear and read it.
ReplyDeleteBrrr that's chilly!!! We're sweating it out here in Australia, maybe send a cool breeze our way. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week and enjoy your new reads.
I has been so cold her too.. and tonight we got a ton of snow. Though I love the snow and not the cold. I have always wanted to read Feed. I bet that is going to be a good book! Happy Sunday!

ReplyDeleteWeeklyWrap@EverythingNyze
It's cold here too. We're expecting some type of wintry mix this morning. Should be lovely to drive to work in :) It's days like this that I wish I was still not working. LOL

I have been wanting to try Sara Humphries novels.

Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
I haven't read any of those books myself. I heard the Molly Harper one was good, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. (Though I have read her other series and it was entertaining.)
