Eeep! It's September! I can't believe it's autumn now, though it's not officially autumn until the solstice. Last week was prep week at school for the new year and on Tuesday the children arrive. As I mentioed before, September is physically and emotionally exhausting so I may not be around much.

I got an email about this and thought it sounded interesting. I enjoy learning about other educational approaches.
Review - Print
"Smoke" was an unsolicited review; my review of "The Stranger You Know" will go up later this month.
Review Consideration - Print
I read the first few Anna Strong books and they didn't do anything for me. I've read the first four Dark Angels books and lost patience with them but the publisher keeps sending me ARCs. I may give books five and six a try, or not.
Review - Kindle
"Maddie's Choice" is for a November blog tour.
Kindle Freebies
Not a single one! I know, I know, somewhere hell has frozen over. O_o :D It's not as if I'm lacking for reading material however. :D
I'll try to visit this week but I can't promise. Happy reading!
Take care of yourself first Bea, we will be here regardless. Sweet haul this week, I am loving some of the kick-ass covers!
ReplyDeleteThere are some excellent covers :)
DeleteHope the month goes smoothly for you, Bea.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of Andrea Kane books on my TBR but haven't gotten to them yet. Maybe this month?
Enjoy your books.
My Sunday Post
Kane isn't a favorite author but I do enjoy her; I hope you do too.
DeleteI hope you take care of yourself, stress can be awful. Enjoy the new books. I think I have Smoke, I guess I should really get reading it. ;)
ReplyDeleteJenea @ Books Live Forever's Sunday Post
Yeah, stress can be miserable. You take care also and enjoy Smoke.
DeleteI think I'll see if my library has 'The Smartest Kids int he World'.
ReplyDeleteAnd no freebies?! O.O Oh.My. ;)
Yep, no freebies :D I still can't believe it myself.
DeleteI'm interested in what you think of Smartest Kids if you get it.
No freebies?! Wow, good self control, well done! :-)
ReplyDeleteHope September is okay and not too exhausting for you. Make sure you give yourself time to relax and read too! :-)
Yeah, I eased up my schedule for September so I could breathe and relax; toddlers are exhausting. :)
DeleteNice haul. No freebies. You have a lot of better self-control than I do. You got an amazing list of books in your pile. Come visit me as well.
ReplyDeleteGrace
It was less a matter of self-control and more that nothing grabbed me, though I am getting pickier.
DeleteNice haul . . . Hope finding time to read will ease the challenges of the month.
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday post: http://www.bookclublibrarian.com/2013/09/sundays-weekly-book-recap-33.html

DeleteI'm curious about The Stranger You Know...enjoy your reading...and your busy month.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
Thanks Laurel :)
DeleteHave a good first week with kids! We start on Tuesday too. I hope to be able to keep reading and blogging but this school year is also bringing lots of chances. I got The Stranger You Know for review this week too but I asked for the Kindle version.
ReplyDeleteCome see what I got at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!
Yeah, teaching full-time and reviewing don't always mix well. I hope you have a great year!
DeleteI really cannot wait for Autumn! I love Georgia in the fall. :) Great books you've got there! :)
ReplyDeleteSarah @ Kitties Like Books Too
New England in the fall is wonderful too :)
DeleteNo Kindle freebies for me either! That's very rare - I should probably check Amazon and see if anything new just popped up. =)
ReplyDeleteLOL We are so addicted :D
DeleteI can't believe it's September either! It's a kinda rough one here too. Hopefully it'll take it easy on us both :)
ReplyDeletevery nice haul you had. I love Keri Arthur and Andrea Kane. Can't wait to hear what you think of that one :)
I hope September is kind to us both. I liked the first two books in the Forensic Instincts books so I expect I'll like this one too.
DeleteSmoke looks good, hope you enjoy
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteInteresting search phrases LOL! Smartest Kids looks interesting...
ReplyDeleteI do get some interesting search phrases. :D
DeleteI see Keri Arthur's name and books all over the place, but I haven't read any of them yet. I love the covers though. Enjoy your haul! :)
ReplyDeleteMy STS.
She has many different series, some of which I enjoy very much. If you like PNR you may like her books.
DeleteI hope September won't be as difficult as you are expecting it. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGreat haul Bea!! Enjoy your goodies, and goodluck when the kids arrive!
ReplyDeleteThanx for visiting My Weekly Wrap-Up!
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
Thanks Naomi :)
DeleteI refuse to acknowledge that it's September. Don't get too stressed out, and enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteTake care of you and we will be here when you get back. I am actually looking forward to temperatures cooling down, but we will not see much of that until at least October.
ReplyDeleteSome awesome looking books in that haul, and yay for adding no freebies. I actually added LESS than I removed this week!
I haven't read any of those, but they look great! I hope you enjoy all you got :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my STS!
Smoke sounds interesting! I'll need to check this one out.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's mid-September either - where'd the past few months go?!
