I walked into my bedroom and found both boys on my bed, though not too close to each other. :D Goof's eyes are glowing demonically thanks to the flash. He looks positively evil. :P And yes, those are my clothes for the day laid out on my unmade bed. :D

Touched by the Sandman by Beverly Ovalle - EXCERPT And GIVEAWAY

I 'met' Beverly through a blogger group I belong to and invited her to be a guest at the Nook. Today she has an excerpt and giveaway of an erotic paranormal. On Friday she'll be back with an excerpt and giveaway of a contemporary military romance. Grab a seat and a drink, ignore the 2+ feet of snow outside, and enjoy!

Beverly Ovalle lives in Wisconsin with her husband Edmond of 25 years and two Chinese Water Dragons. Having her own Dragons is expected as she is dragon crazy and anyone that walks in her house can tell. Her son Nicholas visits when he is on leave from the Marines. Her daughter Susannah visits from time to time to make sure us ‘old’ folks are alive and kicking.

EXCERPT & GC GIVEAWAY: In For The Kill by Shannon McKenna

Shannon McKenna is the NYT bestselling author of over ten action packed, turbocharged romantic thrillers, among which are the stories of the wildly popular McCloud series. She loves tough and heroic alpha males, heroines with the brains and guts to match them, villains who challenge them to their utmost, adventure, scorching sensuality, and most of all, the redemptive power of true love. Since she was small she has loved abandoning herself to the magic of a good book, and her fond childhood fantasy was that writing would be just like that, but with the added benefit of being able to take credit for the story at the end. Alas, the alchemy of writing turned out to be messier than she'd ever dreamed. But what the hell, she loves it anyway, and hopes that readers enjoy the results of her alchemical experiments. She loves to hear from her readers. Contact her at her website, http://shannonmckenna.com, or join the newsletter by signing up here: http://shannonmckenna.com/connect.php.

A deadly new designer drug has taken hold of her small rural hometown of Solitude, Oregon, and Carly is determined to find the real dealer and clear the teen’s name. But the deeper she digs into the case, the more danger she unearths, until someone decides it’s time for Carly to move on…permanently.

"Better Homes and Hauntings" was a disappointing book but it had some humorous moments. After being awoken in the middle of the night by screams, a group of workers, including our heroine, find themselves at loose ends. This little bit made me laugh.

Nina looked up at Deacon. "What are we going to do now?"
Deacon only shook his head. "I have no idea."
Jake adjusted the basketball shorts he wore as pajamas. "Well, I'm wide awake. Being jolted into consciousness by bloodcurdling screams will do that."
Dotty ran her fingers through her hair and gave a forced, cheerful smile. "We're playing Vodka Pursuit!" Nina asked, "What is Vodka Pursuit?"
"It's like Trivial Pursuit, only with more vodka. It will cheer everybody up, trust me. It will help." Dotty jumped off the bed and went scampering down the hall, yelling for Stolichnaya and pie pieces.
Jake glanced at the clock, which read 12:42."This is not going to end well."

Sunday Book Share #125

http://www.talksupeblog.com/search/label/Bought%20Borrowed%20and%20Bagged

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. All of these memes are about sharing the print and digital books received and/or posts and events on the blog.

Winter came back - snow, ice, freezing rain. I have consumed a lot of cocoa and engaged in many snuggles with the cats. It's looking more and more as if Claude will go from Boarder Cat to Resident Cat but officially he's still boarding. He's become such a love and good snuggler. I've been doing more binge watching on NetFlix and I just finished Bomb Girls. I've gone through Bletchley Circle, 3 seasons of Murdoch Mysteries (that's all NetFlix has), and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. I tried Inspector Morse but it didn't hold my interest. Any other suggestions for me?
