http://caffeinatedbookreviewer.com/category/sunday-post Bought Borrowed & Bagged, Bea's Book Nook, book haul

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by Caffeinated Book ReviewerStacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. It's a chance to share the print and digital books we've received and posts and events on the blog.

The last Sunday post of 2015! A few more days until the New Year and typing or writing 2015 when it should be 2016, sigh. It always takes me a week or two to get it right. :D

I had a good Christmas, quiet and low stress. :) I wasn't able to go see my family but enjoyed the holiday anyway. Christmas Eve a friend and I went out for Chinese food and then on Christmas we went and saw Star Wars. It was good!

Sign Up Post for 2016 Netgalley & Edelweiss Reading Challenge!

http://www.fallingforya.com/2015/12/2016-netgalley-edelweiss-reading.html

I've been doing this challenge this year and it's helped me get my NetGalley ratio up. Currently, I'm at 79%; NG recommends 80%, and I'd like to get it up to 90%. My Edelweiss ratio is currently at 87%; I'd like to get it up to 90% also.

Falling for YA decided to host the challenge again in 2016 so I'm joining in again. Go here for more info and to sign up.

My challenge goal is level platinum, 75 books.

The Details:

  • The challenge will run from Jan 1, 2015 – Dec 31, 2015.
  • Anyone is welcome to join. You do not need to be a blogger, just post your reviews and come back every month to link them up. (I sucked at that this year; I need to do better next year.)
  • Any genre, release date, request date, length, etc. counts so long as it came from Edelweiss or Netgalley.
  • At the beginning of each month there will be a roundup post for you to add your reviews.
  • If you forget to link up one month it's not a problem just add your reviews next month.
  • If you would like to move up or down levels that is completely fine and at your discretion.
  • If you have any questions tweet @FallingForYA or e-mail Emisbookblog@aol.com!

All Izzy Chambers Perry wants for Christmas is to keep her brother out of jail—in this holiday yarn from the national bestselling author of A Finely Knit Murder

In Sea Harbor the holidays mean cozy fires, festive carols, and soft skeins of yarn waiting to become hats and sweaters and scarves.  And this year Izzy and the other Seaside Knitters are also knitting tiny ornaments to decorate a tree for the first annual tree-trimming contest.

Their holiday cheer is multiplied when Izzy's younger brother, Charlie Chambers, unexpectedly arrives to volunteer at a local clinic.  He brings with him outspoken hitchhiker Amber Hanson, who is returning to Sea Harbor to claim an inheritance.  She quickly reacquaints herself with the area--and forms an unlikely friendship with Charlie.  But their bond is shattered when her body is found beneath the undecorated trees on the Harbor Green.

With Charlie a suspect in the murder, Izzy and her fellow knitters step in to uncover the truth.  It's only by peeling away long-buried secrets that they can hope to restore joy to the season, and enjoy the shining lights of the newly decorated trees.
