Interview with Tessa Bailey & A Giveaway!

Welcome to my stop on the tour for Unfixable, a new romance by Tessa Bailey. Tessa lives in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York with her husband and young daughter. She loves it here. The city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why she's decided to set her most recent books in the Line of Duty Series there. When she isn't writing or reading romance, Tessa enjoys a good argument and thirty-minute recipes.

She moved to New York when she was eighteen, the day after she graduated high school. Threw her suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find her adventure. She's still finding it, little by little.

A Mini Interview with Jessica Scott & A Giveaway!

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Jessica Scott's books and her writing so I was delighted to participate in the release blitz for "All For You". I have a short Q&A with Jessica; see why she wanted to get tapeworms in high school! There are also several giveaways at the end of the post, so grab a drink, sit down, and enjoy! Don't forget to check out my review of "All For You" and read an excerpt.

USA Today bestselling author Jessica Scott is a career army officer; mother of two daughters, three cats and three dogs; wife to a career NCO and wrangler of all things stuffed and fluffy. She is a terrible cook and even worse housekeeper, but she's a pretty good shot with her assigned weapon and someone liked some of the stuff she wrote. Somehow, her children are pretty well-adjusted and her husband still loves her, despite burned water and a messy house.

Back To You by Jessica Scott: Giveaway, Excerpt & Q&A with Jessica

Today I'm participating in the release blitz for "Back To You" by Jessica Scott, out tomorrow. CarolKat and I reviewed it together and our review will be up in the morning. Jessica is one of my favorite authors, in any genre, and one of the best romance authors currently being published. "Back to You" is the third full-length book in her "Coming Home" series and it tells the story of US Army captain Trent Davila and his wife Laura. Trent has been deployed so often that his marriage is falling apart and in "Back to You" Scott gives us the story of their attempts to repair it. I love stories where the focus is an established couple and seeing how they keep their relationship together. In this case, it's also a second chance story.

As part of the release blitz, there's an interview with Jessica, an excerpt, and a giveaway, so get comfy and read on!

Excerpt & Interview: Just Dessert by Heather Gray

Today I'm delighted to have author Heather Gray for a quick interview and an excerpt from her recently released novel, "Just Dessert". I was part of the editing team on this book and enjoyed it. I don't read very many historical romances so I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Apparently, I'm not the only one. Last Thursday, HEA at USA Today compiled a list of new releases in inspirational fiction and womens fiction and included "Just Dessert". I think Heather just about fainted when she found out. :D

When she's not fainting :P she has a long-standing love affair with coffee. Besides coffee, Heather’s greatest joys in life are her relationship with her Savior, her family, and writing. Years ago, she decided it would be better to laugh than yell. Heather carries that theme over into her writing where she strives to create characters that experience both the highs and lows of life and, through it all, find a way to love God, embrace each day, and laugh out loud right along with her.

Where to Find Heather Online:

Disclosure: I am employed by Astraea Press. I am not being compensated for putting up this post.

Blog Tour: CarolKat Interviews Romance Author Taryn Kincaid

I would like to thank Taryn Kincaid for taking out valuable time from her parasailing up and down the Hudson River to celebrate the release of Heat Wave the latest in her 1Night Stand series.  I also appreciate her adjusting the tin foil to throw the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) off her trail while she answers my interview questions. I think they are after me too.

Read my review of "Heat Wave" here and then enter the giveaway.

Taryn is an Olympic caliber athlete egg roller and spends a great deal of her time petitioning the U.S.O.C. to introduce a fantail shrimp competition. When she's not bungee jumping off the Palisades or parasailing up and down the Hudson River, she devotes her time to caring for her aging pet walrus, arranging her voodoo doll-pin collection and practicing rhythmic chants. At this moment, she is busy sweeping up the loose masala chai tea leaves she spilled all over the kitchen floor. (Probably because she needs COFFEE.) Wait. Is that something…sparkly?

Taryn hangs around a lot on Facebook and Twitter with her trillions of fans and pops in at Goodreads from time to time. You can catch her on her website, http://tarynkincaid.com, and her blog, http://dreamvoyagers.blogspot.com where she lives for comments! She implores you to buy her books so she can retire.

Interview with Dr. Joe Wenke, author of "You Got to be Kidding!"

Today's interview is with Dr. Joe Wenke, who wrote a satire on the Bible, "You Got To Be Kidding Me!" It's in my TBR and sooner or later I'll get it read and reviewed. I was a philosophy and religion major at college and I'm a religious liberal so this book calls to me.

JOE WENKE is an outspoken and articulate LGBTQ rights activist. He is the founder and publisher of Trans Ăśber, a publishing company with a focus on LBGTQ rights, free thought and promoting equality for all people.  Wenke is the author of Mailer’s America and You Got to be Kidding! The Cultural Arsonist's Satirical Reading of the Bible. His next book, Papal Bull: An Ex-Catholic Calls Out the Catholic Church, will be published this fall along with his first novel, The Talk Show.

Interview with Author Jean Fullerton & Excerpt from Call Nurse Millie

Today I have the lovely author Jean Fullerton here and she kindly answered some questions for me concerning her new book and her writing. So get comfy and let's talk. Jean was born into a large, East End family and grew up in the overcrowded streets clustered around the Tower of London. Jean still lives in East London, just five miles from where she was born. She feels that it is that her background that gives her historical East London stories their distinctive authenticity.
