May Challenge Wrap Up

This year I signed up for fewer year long challenges and I'll do more short-term challenges. Last month I signed up for 2 challenges: the May 2015 Clean Sweep ARC Challenge, hosted by the Caffeinated Reviewer, which lasted all month, and Blog Ahead Mini, hosted by Herding Cats & Burning Soup, which went until May 14th.

Grab a drink, get comfy, and get ready!

Blog Ahead Mini - Goal: 14 prescheduled posts

I failed. I managed 2 posts before my father died and I went out of town. I did have some posts ready to go so there were still posts that went up while I was away but I made no further progress on getting ahead. The circumstances however did underscore the need to have posts prepped ahead of time.

TOTAL: 2

1. Pine and the Winter Sparrow by Alexis York Lumbard, Illustrated by Beatriz Vidal
2. Book Scavenger by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman
3. Bayou Magic by Jewell Parker Rhodes
4. Deadly Desires at Honeychurch Hall by Hannah Dennison

17. Bristly Hair and I Don't Care by Nadia Budde
18. More Than Pancakes by Christine DePetrillo

TOTAL:  18 There were other parts of the challenge such as a required Twitter party and other extraneous fluff that I ignored; my focus was on getting the ARCs read. I did fall down at making sure I had at least a 2 sentence review on goodreads for each book read. But I got the books read so I'm happy. I gave myself a low goal because my father's health was failing and I knew that my reading time might be limited. I ended up reading a lot at the airport and on flights.
