Cat Thursday - New Cat in the House!

Welcome to the weekly meme hosted by The True Book Addict that celebrates cats; their foibles and humorousness and the joy they bring. You can join in by posting a favorite LOL cat pic you made or came across, cat art or share with us pics of your own felines, then post your link up at The True Book Addict.

I mentioned in my Sunday Post that I have a new cat but he was in hiding so I didn't have pictures. Claude's people moved to Australia over the weekend but they had miscalculated when Claude could go  and had to leave without him. So, he's boarding with me until January when he can be shipped off to join his people.

My apartment is small and the only rooms with doors are the bath and my bedroom. So, he's penned in my bedroom and has spent a lot of time under the bed. :D Each day he comes out more frequently and remains out for a little longer. He's even taken to sleeping on my bed, ignoring the bed I brought from his house. He's eating, drinking, and using his litter box so I'm not too worried about him. He and Goof hiss at each other through the baby gate I have at the door. I shut my door when I go to work but when I'm home I leave it open and have the gate up. So far Goof is content to ignore Claude when they aren't actually looking at each other. :D

I hope to be able to let Claude out of the bedroom but if it's less stressful for all to have him remain in my bedroom until he leaves, that's okay too.

And now, meet Claude!

  1. Awww...Claude looks like my Trudy. Goof ignoring him isn't a bad thing...it means no fighting :)

  2. I think she wants that quilt to go wherever she goes. It's a pretty quilt.

  4. He's a handsome boy! Poor baby; it won't be much fun to be shipped all the way to Australia.

  5. I visited last week's post before this one so didn't realize you have a new boarder. Claude is very cute! I know he will enjoy the stay at your cat friendly home. :)
