Things are heating up in the kitchen...and the bedroom. Restaurant owner Phoebe Mayle thought she had it all under control. Sure, her new chef has a bad-boy reputation --and a chiseled body to match-- but she's positive she can whip him into shape.
But from the moment Nick Avalon roars into town in his Hummer, he makes her whole world sizzle. Now Phoebe has lost control of her kitchen, and Nick has taken over her mind and her body. His insatiable appetite for pleasure leaves her breathless with carnal cravings only he can satisfy. Yet can their hunger for each other be a recipe for a love that lasts?

The Earl of Killingworth uses his rakehell reputation to hide the fact that poverty has forced him to work for a living. As the owner of a gambling den and brothel, Connor has no time for glittering ballrooms or innocent young ladies. But after a reckless wager leaves him with a new business partner, he is forced to take a risky gamble . . . Will the cards fall in their favor? Alexa and Connor begin to play a dangerous game of intrigue and deception as they seek to outwit a cunning adversary who wants to put them permanently out of business. But if they are not careful, it is the flames of their own fiery attraction that may destroy them.

Author Bio:
I began my writing career at age five with a number of lavishly illustrated Westerns, which were lovingly preserved for posterity by my first fan (Thanks, Mom!) I have since moved on to Regency England, an era that has fascinated me ever since I picked up a copy of Jane Austen’s Pride And Prejudice.
Books have always been an important part of my life. I’ve always been a voracious reader, and I’ve always had a very vivid imagination . . . so much so that I think at times it worried my parents that I was so happy in my own little world, drawing pictures and creating stories. My teachers will also tell you that I was the class history geek, even in grade school. I don’t really know why, but I have always been fascinated with the past.
As an undergrad at Yale, I majored in art—though I took enough history courses to have majored in that subject as well—and went on to get a MFA in Graphic Design at the Yale School of Art, concentrating in publication design. So I guess you could say I have always had a left brain-right brain sort of love affair with the printed page.
Now, some of you may know me as Andrea Pickens, author of a number of award-winning Regency-set historical romances.
So why Cara Elliott? Well, the answer is . . .
I was so excited about the new direction of my writing that my editors and I decided it deserved a new pen name.
I was so excited about the new direction of my writing that my editors and I decided it deserved a new pen name.
And I’ll tell you why—the upcoming books are more SEXY than ever!
My Andrea Pickens “Spy” trilogy was swashbuckling adventure. (Think Jane Austen meets James Bond!) The three oh-so-dangerous heroines were not afraid to put on breeches and boots, and then kick a little butt! They crossed swords with the men—and came out on top! (check out my alter ego website for more detailed info and excerpts.)

As Cara Elliott, I slide into a sexy, slinky little black dress . . .
So lace up your corsets, tweak the tails of your cravat and let's enter a world of glittering ballrooms and passionate romance . . .
I hope you enjoy my books!
