Friday Memes: The Most Glittery Crime of the Year: The Jewel Heist by Judith Lucci

I'm participating in two Friday book memes, Book Beginnings On Fridays, hosted by Rose City Reader, and The Friday 56, hosted by Freda's Voice.

Every Friday, share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author’s name.

For the Friday 56, grab a book, any book. Turn to Page 56, or 56% on your ereader. If you have to improvise, that's okay. Find a snippet, short and sweet. Post it, and add the url to your post at the link here.

This was free on Amazon the other day and it looked fun and light so I bought it. I admit, at first I thought the author was a soap opera actress but a quick Google search showed that is Susan Lucci. Ooops. I'm sure I'm not the only who has mixed them up. :D

I usually don't get to the Artisans Gallery early in the morning, or anywhere early for that matter. I figure that's my reward since I've passed the half-century mark.

I can relate! Sadly, my school, when in session, has thoughts about me showing up when scheduled. Sigh.

The quote is from 56%  in the ebook.

Oh my, I had to be the biggest idiot in the world to go to a murder scene with a drunk, psychotic, jilted woman.

Heh, this looks like it will be fun when I get around to reading it. I am curious as to what exactly is happening in this scene and want to read on.

What book are you reading or about to read? Please share in the comments.

  3. I had to look up Massanutten. I like books set in places I've never been before, and free is always good. Hope you enjoy it!

    1. The quotes give me hope that the book will be good. No online teaching; I teach 1 and 2 year olds at a daycare. I miss them.
