Steph's Thoughts:

I love ghost books so when this came across for review, I jumped on it. I was hoping for fun and humorous and hey it takes place in Georgia. However, "No Grits No Glory" did not meet my expectations.

 My idea of a 5 star read is one I pick up and can’t put down until I finish it, even if that means being exhausted for work the next day. The story was easy to put down and hard to pick back up. It has a lot of potential; I have loved TV shows with people that can hear and help ghosts resolve their unfinished business but this book just did not live up to my expectations. It has some neat parts. For example, when she goes to get "help" from a mysterious lady and when she turns back around to ask another question...The lady has disappeared.

Unfortunately, I did not find Brianna and Steven interesting enough to keep reading for an extended length of time. They were kind of boring and Steven is kind of shallow. I understand the whole dysfunctional family thing but not coming home after you can't reach your beloved sister for years??? Ummm, I found that hard to believe and Brianna just starts helping him because the ghosts ask her to help. Ghosts talking to me or not, I am not sure I want to be friends with somebody who left his little sister and doesn't come looking for her until years later. My sister and I might not talk everyday but if she went missing, I would move heaven and hell to find her.
