Scotland’s King Robert the Bruce is retaking his kingdom from the invading English. To win, he’ll need all the grit and courage of his elite band of warriors, the Highland Guard, men who fight without fear and love without limits.
Fiery, aggressive, and bold, Kenneth Sutherland is a true champion—skilled with any weapon and driven to win. Now Kenneth is ready for his greatest challenge: joining Robert the Bruce’s secret army to fight among the elite. Kenneth’s best chance to attain that honor is by winning the Highland Games. Focused and prepared for victory, he is caught off guard by a lovely wisp of a woman—and a stolen moment of wicked seduction. Her innocent arousal and her shameless hunger fire his blood. He will win his place in the guard—and in Mary of Mar’s bed.
The ruggedly handsome hero-in-the-making stirs a heart that should know better. Mary vows that her surrender will be sport only—no promises, no heartbreak, just one night of incredible passion. Nothing, she swears, will persuade her to give up her hard-wrought independence and put her fate in the hands of another powerful man. But with every gentle touch and heart-pounding kiss, Kenneth makes her want more. Now Mary wants his heart. But is this determined champion willing to surrender everything for love?

Oh my - there are a couple of series that are historical romance that I absolutely adore with sexy Scots! But my first and favorite is:
ReplyDeleteJohanna Lindsey's Sherring Cross series. Oh Lachlan! Yum! We are introduced to him in Man of My Dreams, he gets his own story in Love Me Forever, then he returns with his daughter's story in The Pursuit. Och! I just love those Scots!
Juse Deveraux has some good ones and I think Julie Garwood in her older historicals that she sadly no longer writes. But now I am not sure i the series I love of Garwoods is actually Scot or not. Hmmm ...
ooh i love them all..does the Highlander count *yum. I am not sure why since I am not remotely Scottish but if you mention Scotland or highlander i begin to drool and immediately want to read it.
ReplyDeleteI think I've got to go with Jamie Fraser, from the Outlander books! He's the best. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a hard one! I love all the highlanders I read about. But definitely one of my favorites is Graeme Montgomery from Never Seduce a Scot. I love all of Monica McCarty's highlanders, too!
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of great Scottish stories and people. A favorite of mine is Sean Connery.
ReplyDeleteJamie Fraser from the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, hands down!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I can pick one, there are so many that I just love!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Sean Connery as far as a rel life Scotsman. As far as fictional I think I'll pick Duncan McCloud of the clan McCloud (Highlander TV series)
ReplyDeleteWilliam Wallace from Braveheart. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure right now, I guess I haven't read that many books with Scotts. Good time to start though :)
ReplyDeleteI would have to say my favorite would be Caelen McCabe from Maya Banks McCabe series! =)
