Another quiet week on the blog; it's just going to be that way this summer I think. I had a good week at school but also applied for some full-time positions elsewhere. I like where I am but need full-time hours.
Yesterday was a holiday here in the US, Independence Day or the 4th of July. I had plans for the 4th but came down with a stomach bug. So instead I dozed a lot and watched a lot of movies on NetFlix. It was also Canada Day earlier in the week. I hope those of you celebrating either or both holidays had a good time.

Good luck on the job front. It's a challenge isn't it... when you like something but need to move on / look elsewhere for other reasons. I hope you find something you like!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope you've had a great weekend!
Thanks Deborah, you have a great weekend too!
DeleteOh no! Too bad about the stomach bug. That's definitely no fun. I hope you're feeling better. Your search terms always crack me up though I'm not sure what to make of the one about the cat killing the red dot. Does that mean the cat took out the laser pointer? Have a great week and feel better!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing better today thanks. The red dot one is a little odd; they make me laugh too.
Deleteoh, I hope you feel better! Though... spending the day in bad and watching Netflix does not ssound too bad :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it wasn't a bad way to spend a day (other than being sick).
DeleteHappy 4th of July- although sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. That last search phrase made me bust out laughing, sorry- hilarious. and maybe a good question. :) And an Ebola plushie? I have to enter that giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHave a good rest of the weekend- and enjoy the Netflix. I'm overdue for some binging, I think. :)
That last search term made me laugh too. He may not be crazy but I'd say he's a little twisted. : D
DeleteGood luck with the Ebola plushie giveaway! It's an awesome prize.
Good luck with the job hunting. I love where I work as well but just need full time hours. Full time hours are so hard to come by in my profession where I live. Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well hope you are feeling better today. Have a great week and I hope you get lots of reading done.

DeleteHappy Canada Day & Independence Day to you too ;P I hope you find a right job with the right hours! I remember going through the same thing when I had the summer after first year uni. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry!
DeleteWow looks like you had an awesome week!!! I've seen Forsaken around a bit this week. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you enjoy your new books. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks, you too!
DeleteGood luck with the job search!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is going through a similar situation-- loves the folks she works with, the location, the patients, her boss, everything...but the actual job description is not what she wants to do with her life, so she decided to go back to school so she can get a different, less physical position next year somewhere, and with more 9-5ish hours. (her present place is not the right setting for her new job aspiration). But that's life, and I hope you have a new job lined up soon.
Enjoy your week's books!
I like my career and the place where I am is decent but they can't give me the hours I need.
DeleteThanks Rita, have a great week!
I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. I hope you're better now.

I'm wondering about the cat and the red dot. Do we call the authorities? lol I hope you're feeling better and that a full time job falls into your lap soon. Metaphorically speaking, of course. I wouldn't wish a crushed pelvis on you or anything.
ReplyDeleteLove the cover to Foresaken Harper. Hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteNice to have a quiet week occasionally!
