Sunday Book Share #44

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; and Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews. These  memes allow book bloggers the chance to share print and digital books they've received, and different posts and events at their blogs.

I'm meeeelting! It's been 90+ degrees here and my A/C is not keeping up.At least I have A/C. Thursday was the US's Independence Day and I had the day off. Goof and I watched the fireworks on TV. :) Right now he's sprawled on the laminate floor, in front of the oscillating fan. Yes, it's so hot I have fans and A/C going.

Today, I'll be focusing on edits. My author returned her MS but she surprised me. We were just doing proofing, catching errors before it went to formatting but she re-wrote sections so now I have to do copy edits and proofing on the whole thing and get it turned in for Monday. That may affect my planned reviews for the week. How was your week? Staying cool?

  2. Yup, we have the AC and fans going too. I can tell it's getting too warm when all the animals find a fan and lay on their backs in front of them.

    Enjoy your books, Bea!

  3. We just getting pleasantly warm here :) he-he... but I remember sweltering summers in Russia where I had to sleep on the floor it was that hot at night, and the AC was only in my parents room :)
Hope you'll be able to finish editing in time to enjoy your books, Bea! I like The Candidate with that gorgeous blue dress. Enjoy!

  4. Great book haul! Those search phrases for the blog cracked me up! "Dear diary cat" might be my favorite. :D It's been hot here too-well, more humid than hot which makes the air outside feel soupy and gross. And that's the reason why I prefer spring and fall in central NY state to Summer! Have a great day, stay cool and happy reading!

  5. I could use some of your heat. We are cool and foggy here. The Kat Martin book looks good. I have Paperback Books Swap credits to use and should do some shopping. Come and see what I got at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. I had huge weeks. Happy reading!

  14. I think I've made this pun before, but you were a very busy Bea this week! I'm sorry to hear about your AC; hope you get it working better soon. Good luck with your editing! I know what it's like to be working weekends -- it's one of the hazards of working freelance, too.

Enjoy your new books, and thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!
