On her trip she meets Nate, a scuba dive instructor and ex marine. He'll teach her to face her fear of deep water and teach her to snorkel. Will Kara learn to trust him with her heart, when she fears this shipboard romance will reach an end and she'll never see him again, leaving her broken hearted?

When Kara's boss shows up at their first port of call unexpectedly, Nate's protective nature comes out.

Her creepy boss becomes more aggressive after she returns to Ohio and when she calls Nate he gets on the first plane. Can Nate rescue her?

Bea's Thoughts:

I have mixed feelings about this book. It's a romantic suspense that's light on suspense but generous with the romance. There are some things I liked a lot and some things that had me shaking my head. I'll start with those.

Interview with Bella Andre

New York Times and USA TODAY best-selling author Bella Andre first self-published her series, The Sullivans, and then it was picked up by Harlequin. The books have been re-edited and contain new material. Meryl L. Moss has teamed up with Harlequin and Bella Andre to celebrate the print release of the first three books in her sizzling The Sullivans series THE LOOK OF LOVE (June 2013), FROM THIS MOMENT ON (July 2013) and CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE (August 2013) with a blog tour!

You can read my review of book one, THE LOOK OF LOVE, here. I'll also be reviewing the next two books this summer so stop back to check out my reviews. In the meantime, here's a brief Q&A with Bella herself.

Cover Reveal for Heist by Laura Pauling

Today I have a cover for a soon-to-be-released YA psychological thriller, "Heist", by Laura Pauling. Laura writes young adult fiction. She lives the cover of suburban mom/author perfectly, from the minivan to the home-baked snickerdoodles, while hiding her secret missions and covert operations. But shh. Don't tell anyone!

Sometimes one look is all it takes.

Chloe Peterson has vowed never to make the mistake of trusting a man again. Her reasons are as vivid as the bruises on her cheek. So when her car skids off a wet country road straight into a ditch, she's convinced the gorgeous guy who rescues her must be too good to be true.

As a successful international photographer, Chase Sullivan has his pick of beautiful women. He's satisfied with his life—until he finds Chloe and her totaled car on the side of the road in Napa Valley.

With every loving look—and every sinfully sweet caress—the attraction between them sizzles, and Chloe can't help but wonder if she's met the man who may be the exception to her rule….

Cover Reveal for Black Arts by Faith Hunter

"Black Arts" is the seventh book in Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series. Jane Yellowrock is a Harley-riding, leather-wearing, vampire killing machine behind her church-schooled manners. Her motto – Have Stakes, Will Travel – is succinct and to the point. She’s currently the Enforcer for the Master of the City, MOC, of the Southeastern US (except for Florida), Leo Pellisier, hunting down rogue vamps and other threats to mankind. She’s very much an introvert, but learning to work with others. She’s a Cherokee Skinwalker, in a day and age when Skinwalkers are no longer remembered, and her past is a mystery, even to her.

Quote-Tastic #7

Anna at Herding Cats & Burning Soup has created a new weekly meme. Want to join along?

Click on the link above. Anna is posting hers on Mondays, as am I, but you can choose any day of the week that works for you. Leave me a link in your comment and I will check out your quotes!

Today's quote is from "Flirting with Disaster" by Ruthie Knox. It had lots of of good quotes, it was hard to choose just one. Katie has just come back from an unsatisfying sexual encounter and is talking to her coworker Sean.

Katie didn't pause to consider her response. "Either I'm terminally unfuckable, or that man is gay." This time, when the smile came, it crept up on her slowly, and it made it surprisingly difficult for her to pull enough air into her lungs. "Sweetheart," Sean said, "you are the farthest thing from terminally unfuckable I can possibly imagine." That was when she knew for sure that Sean wasn't flirting with her. Sean was coming on to her.
