Charity Sunday - Tomten Farm and Sanctuary

Welcome to my stop on the Charity Sunday blog hop. This is a monthly blog hop founded by author Lisabet Sarai at her blog, Beyond Romance. The idea is to support a charity, or non-profit. For each comment other than mine on this post, over the next 30 days, I will donate $2 per comment (excluding my own) for a total of $30 to a local organization, Tomten Farm and Sanctuary

Tomten is an animal rescue organization dedicated to providing peace, protection and possibility to animals in need. They believe in helping animals, helping humans, and making dreams come true one life at a time through rescue, sanctuary, adoption, and education. A friend of mine is very involved with them and I have been to their farm and donated some money. It's no secret I am an animal lover and I firmly believe in supporting both animal rescue and education for animal owners. With the current corona virus pandemic, animals are even more in need. Many people believe that animals spread the virus and have been abandoning their pets. Other people, laid off due to pandemic related closures, have to choose between feeding their families or feeding their animals.

Check out Tomten's site, see the work they do, and if you can spare a few dollars, make a donation of your own. Or, donate to an organization that's local to you. Take a moment to help an animal unable to help itself.

And now I'm going to throw in some gratuitous pictures of my own animals. Claude, my cat, was supposed to be a temporary foster when his people were moving to Australia. Five years later, he's still here. Finn the goldfish is my school's pet. We are closed indefinitely so he came home to stay with me until we reopen.

  1. Animal rescues are always a good charity. I can't believe anyone would abandon their furry ones. So sad. I love the pics of yours! Have a great week!
