I had a busy week with job hunting, doctor's appointments, and my church's annual fair. The rain held off for the latter until after we started breaking down for the day, which was a relief. The weather makes a huge difference in the turnout we get and rain is a killer.

The author and I were chatting on Twitter about another author's book and then when I mentioned I had her book on my wish list, she gifted me a copy. :) I've already finished it. :D
I actually received 2 copies of Broken Soul by Faith Hunter; first a print ARC then 2 days later a finished copy. :D I'm reading Reckoning now.

Fantastic UF books this week!!! I love Faith Hunter!! Rogue Mage was one of the first UF series I ever read and I so wished she would of kept going b/c it was such a cliffhanger at the end of the book 3 - if you call the main character cuddled in bed with 3 guys a cliffie ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad the church fair went off with virtually no rain!!!! PHEW! We got drenched last week over here, too!
Have a great week next week!
I haven't read her Rogue Mage books yet but I like her Yellowrock books. Have a great week!
DeleteI only got three books this week and they were all from the library. My birthday is this week so I haven't been able to buy books for the last month (in the past I had bought books someone bought me for my birthday so I go on a book buying ban the month before my birthday). Love the cover of "On the Naughty List"
ReplyDeleteMy mother had a knack for buying me books I already owned. :D Happy birthday!
DeleteIt rained all day here Friday and was pretty cold too- glad you escaped the worst of it for the fair. We're starting to really cool down now like it or not... will see what this week brings.
ReplyDeleteNice cat photo last week- looks like your new friend is settling in nicely. :)
Yeah, it's been cooling down here too. Brr. But I am enjoying after the summer.
DeleteClaude is settling though he's still skittish.
It's fun to see the Christmas books popping up on the blogs now. I was looking at some this week too as I wanted to pick a selection for the HoHoHo readathon.
ReplyDeleteThat was so nice of the author to do that! It happened me once as well and it was so unexpected.
Good luck with the job hunting :)
