My Thoughts:
I love the idea of this book, girls taking and owning their power. With a positive attitude and delightful pictures, "A is for Ambitious" is an educational, yet fresh and invigorating spin on an alphabet book.
In addition to the typical strong words that help empower children, such as 'confident', there are some with negative connotations, such as 'sensitive' and 'bossy', and given a positive spin. The illustrations are colorful and detailed and perfectly illuminate the words and their meanings. The book is inspirational, both for children and the adults in their lives. I can't wait to introduce my class of toddlers to this book. While a little young for some of the concepts, they'll benefit from the vocabulary and they'll enjoy the pictures.
