Blurb from goodreads:

Wisdom may be in holding your opinions close, but there’s definite freedom in letting them fly. I HAVE STRONG OPINIONS is a collection of twenty-five no-holds-barred rants from award-winning author Laura Anne Gilman on the everyday frustrations and irritations of life in the 21st century, from Facebook to fireworks, sex ed to snow tires.

"So, go on the journey. Buckle up. Get ready for some salt. You’re in good hands. You’re in an expert’s hands" - from the Introduction by Chuck Wendig.

My Thoughts:

I've been stalking following Ms. Gilman on Facebook, Twitter, and Patreon for several years now. I follow her not only for her books but for her thoughts and opinions on a wide variety of topics. While we don't always agree, she's always articulate and witty, and has solid research and sources backing her up. When she put this book out, I couldn't resist picking it up.

The essays are short, and address a myriad of daily frustrations and nuisances. I found myself nodding and agreeing while reading most of them, and chuckling or laughing. Having met Ms. Gilman once at a con, I could also hear her voice in my mind as I read, which added to my enjoyment. Short, to the point, funny, and spot on, "I Have Strong Opinions" was a fast and fun read. Rant away, Ms. Gilman!

My one gripe was the many typos and errors - wrong words, missing punctuation, etc. There were a lot for a 71 page book.

Warning: If profanity and swearing are not your thing, then this is not your book.
