Welcome to my stop on the tour for Unfixable, a new romance by Tessa Bailey. Tessa lives in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York with her husband and young daughter. She loves it here. The city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why she's decided to set her most recent books in the Line of Duty Series there. When she isn't writing or reading romance, Tessa enjoys a good argument and thirty-minute recipes.
She moved to New York when she was eighteen, the day after she graduated high school. Threw her suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find her adventure. She's still finding it, little by little.

Bea: Please tell us a little about your new
release?
TESSA: UNFIXABLE is Willa’s story. She’s fresh off a break-up and on a quest in Dublin, Ireland to resurrect the no-bullshit-taking, sarcastic girl she used to be. Her old relationship quieted her down, which went completely against her nature and she’s pissed off about it. Unfortunately (or fortunately, rather) she immediately runs into Shane, who is just as angry at the world. They clash from the word go, but there is an attraction bubbling under the surface that has them circling each other, sizing each other up like prize fighters. Willa was introduced as the younger sister of my heroine, Ginger, in my first published book PROTECTING WHAT’S HIS. I wrote this book after readers asked for more of her. Note: one book doesn’t need to be read to enjoy the other J

Bea: What’s coming up next for you with your
writing? Are you working on your next book? Can you tell us a little about it?
TESSA: Yes, I am always working on a book! Currently, I am working on another New Adult about a romance taking place on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, which will be released (through Avon/HarperCollins) in March 2015. In the meantime, I have a handful of releases throughout the rest of 2014 (through Entangled), including a BDSM (light) and a wedding continuity. Also coming in 2015, I’m spinning off my Line of Duty series into an anti-hero series. I’m so excited about it!

Bea: What would you say is your most interesting
writing quirk?
TESSA: This is actually something I only realized I did this week. Every time I come back from a lunch break, I delete the last paragraph I wrote. I guess it doesn’t pay to write on an empty stomach. (LOL ~ Bea)

Bea: Can you tell us about the journey that led
you to write your book?
TESSA: Yes! It’s actually kind of depressing, though. When Hurricane Sandy hit New York last year, my husband was out of work for six weeks because his place of work was flooded out, so I had another pair of hands around the house to help out with the baby. It gave me time to write and I was desperate for a creative outlet after being home with baby for a year on my own. My parents’ house was damaged pretty severely in the storm, too. One afternoon, I was crossing the street and saw a police officer directing traffic because of all the storm debris. He was gorgeous and pissed off. That’s how my Line of Duty series was born.

Bea: If you could be a character in a book, which one would it be,
and what part would you play? (Romantic lead, sidekick, etc)
TESSA: I would absolutely, one hundred percent, be the friend who drags the heroine out to drink on a weeknight and gets her into trouble with the hero when she stumbles in blitzed at two in the morning.

Tagline: He’s the last thing she wants…but the only thing she needs.
Blurb: Willa Peet isn’t interested in love. She’s been there, done that, and has the shattered heart to prove it. Ready to shake the breakup, she heads to Dublin, Ireland. But there’s a problem. A dark-haired, blue-eyed problem with a bad attitude that rivals her own. And he’s not doling out friendly Irish welcomes.
Shane Claymore just wants to race. The death of his father forced him off the Formula One circuit, but he’s only staying in Dublin long enough to sell the Claymore Inn and get things in order for his mother and younger sister. He never expected the sarcastic American girl staying at the inn to make him question everything. But even as Willa and Shane’s fiery natures draw them together, their pasts threaten to rip them apart. Can Shane give up racing to be with the woman he loves, or will Willa’s quest to resurrect the tough-talking, no-shit-taking girl she used to be destroy any hope of a future together?
