Cat Thursday - Happiness Is...

Welcome to the weekly meme hosted by The True Book Addict that celebrates cats; their foibles and humorousness and the joy they bring. You can join in by posting a favorite LOL cat pic you made or came across, cat art or share with us pics of your own felines, then post your link up at The True Book Addict.

Goof's not really a lap cat but he frequently curls up next to me on the couch. I also usually have a glass of iced tea as I drink; tea, couch, cat and book. :) Life is good.

  1. Ahh yeah that is good. And what a sweet photo :)

Mine are more chest cats lol I tend to read in bed and they think they need to be right up close and personal--usually with their face tucked between my chest and the book.

  4. This is happiness without a doubt :)
I recently wrote a post about my perfect reading moment (cats, books and tea - http://lebookaffair.blogspot.pt/2013/06/musing-mondays-one-of-my-readings-habits.html), but my picture is not as good as this one :)

  5. So true--life is good! I have a photo that would be hard to share because my son took it with his camera and didn't have the flash on. It is of me sitting on the couch with 3 cats trying to fit on my lap at same time, with just the glow from the kindle paperwhite on :) This is an awesome photo-thanks for sharing.

  7. Awwww... Yes, I agree wholeheartedly: cat + book + tea = happiness, at least for a few hours. Your Goof sounds a little like my Thomas -- also not a lap kitty, but he loves to sit on the side table next to me when I'm on the couch reading (or, rarely, watching TV.)

  8. Love this! Having a cat around while reading is lovely.

Alice...not a lap cat, or a very social cat anymore, for that matter. She comes around me when she wants treats and if she needs food in her dish. Meany! Arya, on the other hand, is not technically a lap cat. She curls up on my chest (there's room...haha). However, she's getting bigger so I'm not sure how much longer that's going to work out. Plus, she does it a lot when I'm trying to work. Very difficult to type!
