Sunday Book Share #45

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; and Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews. These  memes allow book bloggers the chance to share print and digital books they've received, and different posts and events at their blogs.

I could get used to working a three day work; I had two vacation days last week and it was wonderful. The temps cooled down, which was good since my A/C is still broken; thank goodness for fans. My work week ended with a very positive end-of-year review at my day job and the whole week was filled with book goodness. Why can't all weeks be so awesome?

The Week In Review

Giveaways:

Odd or interesting search phrases for the blog: Once again "how to catch a cat" and variations on it are popular. A new one though is "stephen king nook case".

BOOKS

Oh my stars and garters, the book fairy was generous last week. I don't know what I did to get on her good side, but I had an awesome book week!

Won - Print

I won these from author J.A. Campbell as part of a recent tour for her Brown, the Ghost-Hunting Dog stories.

These books inspired the TNT tv series "King and Maxwell" and I won them as part of a giveaway the show did on facebook.

Bought - Print

The author, Laura Anne Gilman, was selling off some of her author copies so I snapped these up. They were less than half the cover price and she signed them. :)

Review - Print

I had a digital galley but the publisher also sent a print copy. I do prefer anthologies in print.

Review Consideration - Print

This came in from Media Muscle; it's tempting but I'm not sure I can squeeze it in.

I have a giveaway for one copy of "City of Mirrors" for a US resident, thanks to the PR firm, Goldberg McDuffie. It'll be up later today.

These are courtesy of Penguin, not sure if I'll do them although "Walking in the Midst of Fire" and "The Shadow of the Soul" look interesting.

Kindle Freebies

I hope you had a great week also. Leave a link so I can come visit during the week.
