I love dragons. Ok, I am obsessed with dragons and when I see the word dragons in a blurb, I jump on it. Unfortunately, in this case, this one did not work for me. I tried three times to read this book in three different moods. I just could not get into it. Each of the three chapters I read, had entirely different characters. Unlike in a George RR Martin novel, there were not names at the top of each chapter to give me an inkling that this was another character. By the time I got to chapter four with new characters, I couldn’t remember who was in the first chapter. I can handle a book that switches between a couple of characters, but I get lost if there are too many. I actually wasn’t even able to read Game of Thrones until after I had watched a couple of seasons of the show. It was too hard to keep the characters straight.

You might like it but this one just wasn’t for me.
That will confuse me as well. Sorry it didn't work for you, but understandable.
