Blurb from goodreads:

When Tara Fujimoto’s quest to avenge her sister’s death makes her a target, a sexy security specialist steps in to watch her back, but his quiet appeal threatens her carefully guarded heart. Can she resist their lightning-hot attraction, and stay alive long enough to expose her enemy?

Former military special operator Jeff Patarava has good reasons to keep his distance from his impossibly perfect coworker, but when her life is threatened, his resolve is shot to hell. Forced into close proximity, sparks fly as he learns she’s far more than her flawless appearance suggests. Now, he’ll put everything on the line to keep her alive.

My Thoughts:

The author was talking about this book on Twitter before it released and I commented it sounded interesting. The author offered a review copy and I gladly accepted.

So, what did I think? Well, after I read it, I decided I wanted to read the earlier books. Not because "Blind Justice" doesn't work as a stand alone, it does, but because I wanted to know the stories of the other characters. I discovered I already owned book one, "Blind Fury", a perma-freebie, so I just had to purchase the next three books. I gobbled them up and then re-read this one. :)

"Blind Justice" follows Tara and Jeff, co-workers who are attracted to each other but don't act on it until Tara's life is in danger, when she goes after the man responsible for her younger sister's death. Both have reasons for not getting in a relationship right now but the attraction between them is strong. The pacing was a little off, and there was an uneven balance between romance and suspense, but the action was suspenseful, the love scenes hot, and the romance sweet. Tara was a little too good at times which was interesting when compared to what we saw of her in the first book. Jeff tended to focus on the tree instead of the forest but he was open to suggestions and willing to re-consider. I particularly liked how Hernandez handled Tara's sexual past and Jeff's reaction to it; it was well done.

"Blind Justice" was steamy with interesting characters, an intriguing mystery, and a story that pulled me in. I'll be looking for the next book.
