Cat Thursday: 4th of July Edition

Welcome to the weekly meme hosted by The True Book Addict that celebrates cats; their foibles and humorousness and the joy they bring. You can join in by posting a favorite LOL cat pic you made or came across, cat art or share with us pics of your own felines, then post your link up at The True Book Addict.

Tomorrow is the start of a long weekend here in the US to celebrate our Independence Day. We all know that cats are quite independent so this is a match made in heaven, lol.

    1. Fireworks are quite loud especially to a cat's ears. Humans enjoy them, animals not as much.

  2. Yes it is! They'rre already shooting things off around here, and the cats are getting jumpy. :(

  3. I love Grumpy cat! My cats don't seem particularly bothered by fireworks. They mostly just look annoyed. It could be they're so used to loud noises and chaos that nothing phases them anymore!

    1. This'll be my first 4th with Claude but Goof mostly ignores them.

  4. You're right, cats are certainly independent! My dog hates fireworks and thunder, so we're already planning to be up late to comfort her. Not sure how the foster kittens will react, so we might all camp out together. I'm really starting to hate fireworks!

  5. Happy 4th!

One of my cats is scared to death of the fire works (they've already started). The other doesn't really seem bothered by them.

  6. I'm so glad none of mine have ever been bothered by fireworks or thunder. They'll doze/sleep through anything lol

  7. happy fourth! Loved this - definitely made me smile! Mine was never bothered by fireworks when he was alive, but we lived near a theme park, so he heard them every night at certain times throughout the summer. He might get disturbed the first week of a new season, but after that he'd be pretty indifferent.
