I'm reading an thriller, "The Ultimatum", by Dick Wolf, the creator of the TV show "Law & Order". The quote is from 56%  in the eGalley; I haven't gotten there yet as I'm at 31%.

Before he could get out, while he jerked the shifter into park and readied up his Glock, the Asian leveled the TAR-21 at the cop approaching on Twenty-Fifth Street from the east, a big guy who. at the sight of the rifle, ducked behind a parked van.

  4. Sound good. I haven't read a thriller in a while. This week I am spotlighting First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones. It's been on TBR mountain for a while. Happy reading!

  7. I didn't know Dick Wolf wrote books, I am a L&O junkie. I watch the really old ones on Sundance. Is sounds like it's a police thriller from the quote. I'm going to see if I can get it on NetGalley.
Hope you can stop by. http://evilverlordthoughts.com
