Sunday Book Share #116

http://www.talksupeblog.com/search/label/Bought%20Borrowed%20and%20Bagged

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. All of these memes are about sharing the print and digital books received and/or posts and events on the blog.

Oy, the week started well. On Monday I had my two post surgical check up for the lung surgery I had done two summers ago. My lung capacity showed improvement and I've had fewer asthma exacerbations and they've been milder. The doctor was quite excited and happy. I've been happy with the results and the improvements. Now if only there were a cure for asthma!

Then Tuesday night after I went to bed, my modem died. I've had no internet access at home since then. Eeep. I'm typing this up from the library Saturday afternoon. I expect I'll be here until closing time at 5, catching up on blog stuff, client work, and personal online matters. According to the UPS site, my modem will arrive late Monday afternoon. So, if all goes well when I install the new device, I should be back online some time Monday night. I went to a local coffee shop chain Thursday between jobs to take advantage of their free wi-fi but their internet security declared the blog to be a pornography site and I couldn't access it. :D Ah well, I had access to my email and most other sites that I needed. I've also gotten a LOT of reading done without the net to distract me. :D

The Week In Review

Odd, interesting, or funny search phrases leading to the blog: An interesting mix last week - "amazon mary bradley books up the creek", "cat thursday pictures", "content", "devils photos", and "most erotic excerpt from nobel".

  1. It's always interesting when you lose net access and realize how dependent we are on it at times. :) Such a pain... good luck with the new modem and hope you're back up and running soon. I hate doing blog stuff from the library,it's always easier at home for some reason.

  5. I'm sorry about your modem. Even the idea of going without internet makes me a bit twitchy though I do hate being so dependent on it! Hope the install goes smoothly. With all the crazy search terms you get I'm not surprised you've been declared pornography! Though seriously I can imagine that's annoying. Glad to hear your lung capacity is doing well. I have asthma but have been lucky with the severity of it. Have a great week!

    1. I've been twitchy indeed! And yes, the search terms people use are quite naughty sometimes but it is frustrating not to be able to work from the coffee shop.

I'm pretty excited about how well my asthma is doing. My life was in the pits for a few years because of it and now I can go days without having to think about it or deal with it.
