I'm reading a cozy mystery,  "A Biscuit, A Casket" by Liz Mugavero. The quote is from page 56 in the paperback. My review will be up on Monday.

"Someone murdered Hal." She looked at Char. "Who would have wanted to murder Hal? I know he was a son of a ***** sometimes, but he had a family. A business that supported the local economy. Why?"

  1. LOVE the book's cover. It reminds me of that painting of dogs playing poker! Sounds like a fun cozy.

  3. Hal does sound like the wrong person to kill. The cover really made me laugh, it just reminds me of my cousin who used to force her family dog to have tea parties with her when she was young! Thanks for sharing :) Hope you have a great weekend!

  13. Hal must have been a pain in the neck. Maybe someone decided they had enough of his shenanigans whether he was successful or not.
