Sunday Book Share #83

http://www.talksupeblog.com/search/label/Bought%20Borrowed%20and%20Bagged

Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe, and Library Loot co-hosted by The Captive Reader and Silly Little Mischief. All of these memes give book bloggers the chance to share print and digital books they've received, and the posts and events at their blogs.

I won't be around much this week. My father is not doing well and I'm heading down to see him and my stepmother for a few days. I'll try to catch up on commenting when I get back. In good news, my asthma flare is officially over after six long weeks. Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

The Week In Review

Odd, interesting, or funny search phrases leading to the blog: Cats still dominate my search terms :D - "how to catch a cat", "cat catch the red dot", and "cat thursday" There were some new non-cat terms too - "dads pin-up calendar story" LOL "night broken reviews" :) and "westward to strange", which probably comes from either, "Westward, Yo!"  or "Westward, Home!", both by J.A. Campbell.

I won this from the publisher as part of the author's blog tour. This is book three; I proofread book two but haven't read book one yet and I proofread a short story in the series.

"Vengeance" was free one day only at All Romance eBooks as part of their Earth Day celebration. There's one free book a day until April 22nd. I can forward you one of their emails if you want, just drop me a line.

Did you add any books to your shelves or e-readers last week? Leave a link to your Sunday Post so I can visit you during the week after I return from my trip.

I do like the sound of Taken with you - as someone who is 40+ It's nice to see a book featuring a heroine in that age range .

  14. I'm delighted your asthma is better, but sorry your dad isn't well. I hope his health improves soon. Safe travels, and take care. I'll be checking out your guest post on writing older heroines; as a reader of a certain age, I like to see women in their middle years get some of the attention (and romance)!

  20. Sending good thoughts for your father. I enjoyed your guest post by Shannon Stacey about writing an older heroine. I am in my fifties and wish I could find more books that make the MC closer to my age (though the woman on the cover looks alot younger than 40 to me). Hidden Doors, Secret Rooms looks like an intense read.
Hope all goes well this week.

  23. Hi. My blogger friend just told me about your 'funny search phrases' section. It's a great idea--I always think mine are so bizarre. But then I see you put in 'westward to strange'--that's actually my own book title. I'm Ray Litt. Anyway, small world. Take care and keep up the great site.
