One of the challenges I'm doing this year is Finishing the Series, hosted by Socrates' Book Reviews. I've been so busy with review books that I've fallen behind on some series, including the Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaughn. I got this one from the library and while I'm not living it, I am enjoying it. In this scene, Kitty is in human form, and has just met up with her husband Ben, who's in wolf form. Sun is a new acquaintance of Kitty's.

Sun watched us. I expected him to run screaming at the sight of the big slavering wolf. Most people would have. But he didn't flinch. Maybe he wasn't even surprised.
"That's a pretty big dog," Sun said.
"It's not a dog, it's my husband!"
"Huh. That's progressive."
"Shut up, he's a werewolf too."
"Yeah? Hi there." Sun waved.

  1. LOL Sun seems fun :) I read book one ages ago and it didn't really click with me. I've got the next couple in the series though. Might need to give it another go :)

  3. Sounds very funny. If the whole series is like it it deserves a read :D

  4. Since I'm a big fan of Nalini Singh and I just adore her Psy-Changeling series, I found myself comparing every paranormal/shifting book I would like to read with her Psy-Changeling series. Sometimes I find a little gem but mostly just second best. LOL :) I'm thinking if I should give this one a try too? :)
