A Mini Interview with Jessica Scott & A Giveaway!

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Jessica Scott's books and her writing so I was delighted to participate in the release blitz for "All For You". I have a short Q&A with Jessica; see why she wanted to get tapeworms in high school! There are also several giveaways at the end of the post, so grab a drink, sit down, and enjoy! Don't forget to check out my review of "All For You" and read an excerpt.

USA Today bestselling author Jessica Scott is a career army officer; mother of two daughters, three cats and three dogs; wife to a career NCO and wrangler of all things stuffed and fluffy. She is a terrible cook and even worse housekeeper, but she's a pretty good shot with her assigned weapon and someone liked some of the stuff she wrote. Somehow, her children are pretty well-adjusted and her husband still loves her, despite burned water and a messy house.

She's written for the New York Times At War Blog, PBS Point of View: Regarding War Blog, and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. She deployed to Iraq in 2009 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn and has served as a company commander at Fort Hood, Texas.

She's pursuing a PhD in Sociology in her spare time and most recently, she's been featured as one of Esquire Magazine's Americans of the Year for 2012.

Bea)  Currently, how any stories are planned in the Coming Home series?

Jessica) Right now, there are 5 books, 1 novella and 1 short story. I’ve got a 6th book almost written and 2 more in the works but grad school is pretty much taking over my life right now so we’ll have to see how those come along. (*crosses fingers that everything works out* ~ Bea)

Bea) Do you have any upcoming stories that aren't part of the Coming Home series?

Jessica) At the moment, I’m focused on the Coming Home series. There are more stories for me to tell. After that, we’ll see what happens.

Bea) Your favorite place to write?

Jessica) Other than at coffee shops, which have mysteriously good writing karma, I love to write in my favorite chair. I slept in it after I had both my daughters so it means a lot to me.

Bea) Any guilty pleasures? TV show, food, etc

Jessica) Swearing. If I had to admit to one, it would be swearing. And that I hate working out. I wish I could be one of those skinny people who could eat whatever they wanted and not gain weight but I’m not. I always wanted a tapeworm in high school. Or mono. (LMAO, tapeworm. Oooooookay ~ Bea)

Bea) If you could go anywhere, where would you choose?

Jessica) Home. I always just want to be home, with the fur and the furbabies and my family. Home is where I want to be.

Thanks Jessica. It's always a pleasure to talk to you and best of luck with grad school.
