I'm participating in Feed My Reader Friday hosted by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer, The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer, and Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews. These memes allow book bloggers the chance to share print and digital books
they've received, and different posts and events at their blogs.
More frigging snow. Sigh. At least I got a day off out of it. Although the foot of snow wasn't the best thing for the daffodils that were blooming. :( I like daffodils, they're one of my favorite flowers. Despite the snow I had a busy week at work, with prepping for our annual art show and taking a workshop on play. At home, I've started doing some spring cleaning and organizing, and shared some books with a friend.
The Week In Review
Cover Reveals: The Long Way Home by Jessica Scott (Memoir)
Take Control of Your TBR Pile Challenge: Holiday Buzz by Cleo Coyle
Written in Stone by Ellery Adams - review to come
Odd phrase that led to the blog: "shadow of the damned 3d model" - I think this might refer to a photo I posted of a 3D lung model.
"circus things that make the letter g" - this probably refers to an alphabet book I reviewed several years ago.

ReplyDeleteThey're changing covers already? :D I liked the blurb, it was interesting and seems humorous. We're supposed to get more snow this week but just a few inches. At this rate, we'll have snow on the ground for Easter. :(
DeleteEww, I would say that is way too much snow. we have snow coming later tonight and for the next few days. the kida run out of snow days about 3 snow days ago. Saturday school is in our future. You got some great titles, enjoy them.

Most of the public schools around here are also out of snow days. Luckily since we're a private preschool and daycare center, we don't have to sorry about making up snow days. :)
DeleteAwesome haul. Some of these are new to me but hope you enjoy them all :)

Thank you and thanks for the follow. Happy reading to you!
DeleteI picked up Dial C for Chihuahua too. Looks cute!
ReplyDeleteIt does :)
DeleteThe Sisterhood looks amazing, Bea! Caught my eye straight away! Looks like you had a very busy week too! Like you we had enormous amounts of snow here - couple of heavy blizzards, but had to work anyway. This weather really worries me. Nothing can grow in such temperatures :(
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope you enjoy all your wonderful reads and the upcoming art show *hugs*
I liked the sound of it right away Kara :) It seems as if many places are getting lots of snow this winter.
DeleteYou had a very busy week and got a ton of great books.
ReplyDeleteHeather ~ My Sunday Post
Happy reading!
DeleteThey are saying snow for us tomorrow, but it doesn't sound like much. Still...it's officially spring and I don't want anymore snow! LOL
ReplyDeleteI really want to get back to reading the Cleo Coyle books. I love them.
Have a great week!
I'm with you Yvonne, no more snow!
DeleteI've tried several of Coyle's books and they just don't work for me. Ah well.
The Sisterhood does sound interesting, I hope it will be. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for spring rains! I'm even ready for pollen, sneezing and congestion. :D
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm trying to ease up on the freebies. I need to be a vampire to have enough time to read them all. :D
Snow is a dirty word..now go wash your mouth out! LOL Nice haul and I love daffodils too:) http://www.caffeinatedbookreviewer.com/2013/03/the-sunday-post-48-sharing-blog-news.html
ReplyDeleteSnow is a four-letter word right now!
DeleteDaffodils are my mum's favourite flower too! But yes, this snow isn't ideal for them is it? :-( At least you have some good looking books for curling up inside with while it snows. Dial C for Chihuahua looks fun! Enjoy, and have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, you too. I did get some good looking books, I hope they'll be good. :)
DeleteBoooo snow! It's been beautiful here. Be jealous! lol :P
ReplyDeleteHaha - I like looking at the search terms that lead to my blog. Great haul!
I am jealous! :D The search terms are interesting, I always have fun reading them.

DeleteEvil Reader. :P
Wow, that's quite a haul this week! I loved your search terms -- definitely unusual. And the title of A Murder at Rosamund's Gate is decidedly intriguing.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week, and I hope things warm up for you soon.
Hi Lark, yes this was a particularly good week for books. :) Welcome to the Nook.
