Sunday Book Share #148

http://www.talksupeblog.com/search/label/Bought%20Borrowed%20and%20Bagged

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. All of these memes are about sharing the print and digital books received and/or posts and events on the blog.

Another quiet week on the blog; it's just going to be that way this summer I think. I had a good week at school but also applied for some full-time positions elsewhere. I like where I am but need full-time hours.

Yesterday was a holiday here in the US, Independence Day or the 4th of July. I had plans for the 4th but came down with a stomach bug. So instead I dozed a lot and watched a lot of movies on NetFlix. It was also Canada Day earlier in the week. I hope those of you celebrating either or both holidays had a good time.

The Week In Review

Odd, interesting, or funny search phrases leading to the blog: "4th of july cats", "cat killed red dot yesterday", "fourth of july cat cards", "is blake crouch crazy?" I have no answer for that last one, sorry. :D

Giveaways: $20 Amazon gift card & a plush giant Ebola microbe, ends July 8th (I want that amoeba, it's cute!)

5 copies of SEAL Wolf Hunting by Terry Spear, ends July 19th

Review Copies Available

I have review copies of Love Under Three Valentinos by Cara Covington and Scorpio Begins by Lilith Darville available. Send me an email, beasbooknook@gmail.com, if you're interested.

  1. Good luck on the job front. It's a challenge isn't it... when you like something but need to move on / look elsewhere for other reasons. I hope you find something you like!

And I hope you've had a great weekend!

  2. Oh no! Too bad about the stomach bug. That's definitely no fun. I hope you're feeling better. Your search terms always crack me up though I'm not sure what to make of the one about the cat killing the red dot. Does that mean the cat took out the laser pointer? Have a great week and feel better!

  11. Good luck with the job search!
My daughter is going through a similar situation-- loves the folks she works with, the location, the patients, her boss, everything...but the actual job description is not what she wants to do with her life, so she decided to go back to school so she can get a different, less physical position next year somewhere, and with more 9-5ish hours. (her present place is not the right setting for her new job aspiration). But that's life, and I hope you have a new job lined up soon.
    Enjoy your week's books!

  19. Well that's no fun being sick on the Fourth. Hope you are on your feet now. I know my blogging is taking a back seat to everything else in summer, I am glad I had a big buffer going in or I would be so behind right now.

  20. I'm wondering about the cat and the red dot. Do we call the authorities? lol I hope you're feeling better and that a full time job falls into your lap soon. Metaphorically speaking, of course. I wouldn't wish a crushed pelvis on you or anything.
