I'm reading an urban fantasy, "Kitty's Greatest Hits", by Carrie Vaughn; it collects short stories set in her Kitty Norville world that have been published elsewhere and two new stories. The quote is from page 56  in the hardcover.

Catherine knelt and began to pray, Pater Noster and Ave Maria, and her lips stumbled trying to get out all the words at once.

  1. Mmmm...I wonder what's going on here. I've been eying this series for a long time. That's a great cover.

    1. This would have a lot of spoilers for the series but it is a nice introduction.

  2. This teaser has me curious, it is definitely setting a mood.

  3. Has me wondering why she's praying . . .

Thanks for stopping by my blog today--have a nice weekend.

  4. I like this idea and the title and cover. It sgould be a good beginning for me to the series.

  8. It doesn't sound like Catherine is having a good day. I haven't heard much about Carrie Vaughn so I'll have to check out her books.

  9. I rarely read fantasy so I'd need to know more about this book before deciding whether or not to buy it. The excerpt makes me curious, though.
My Friday post features WHAT WE KEEP.

  10. I have a few Kitty books waiting on my TBR shelf.
    Happy weekend!
