Sunday Book Share #129

http://www.talksupeblog.com/search/label/Bought%20Borrowed%20and%20Bagged

I'm participating in The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer; Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea; Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews; and Bought Borrowed and Bagged, hosted by TalkSupe. All of these memes are about sharing the print and digital books received and/or posts and events on the blog.

Snow. Sickness. Sleeplessness. Snow. Sickness. Sleeplessness. That was my week last week and likely this week too. It kinda sucks. One thing I've noticed the past few years is that I am becoming more prone to fevers. I heartily dislike this trend and wish it would cease. It's quite enough having bronchitis, sinusitis, and an asthma flare to deal without being hot enough to bake a cake while at the same time being freezing despite multiple layers of blankets and cranking up the thermostat. Seriously, who needs that? Bad body! I made it to the doctor and I'm on the heavy hitting drugs, hence the sleeplessness. 11 more days till I finish and sleep returns. But I'm feeling better so YAY!

Review

I had these 2 in egalleys already but then the publisher shipped me print copies for review. Since I adore both series, I was delighted to receive them!

  2. Glad you're feeling better- I hate fevers. A few weeks ago I got sick and had a fever and chill so bad I thought I was going to shake aprt- luckily it didn't last long, but I couldn't stay warm. That definitely sucks.

Interlude looks good, I like that cover. Curious now...

  5. Oh, having fevers as well as the other parts of illness is unfair. I'm glad you're feeling some better. I hope that continues.

And I'm jealous you have Visions in Silver and Dead Heat. Those are two of my most anticipated books. Feel better this week, Bea.

  7. I'm just getting over illness myself and I know it is just no fun! Looks like you have some good books to keep you company - I have yet to try Briggs or Bishop, but I'm gonna have to asap if people don't quit raving about them, lol

  9. That is weird about your fevers. On the other hand it means your bod is fighting icky bugs to kill them.

  11. The Rhyme of the Magpie looks tempting...great cover!

Hope you feel better soon...you are right, it sucks. If you get well enough to read, things will look better.

Have a better week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  12. Oh, Bea, I'm sorry you've been sick! And in the middle of all this snow and frigid temperatures, too. That stinks! I will send prayers and warm healing thoughts your way. I hope you feel better soon and can get some sleep - and that the cats have been taking good care of you. :-)

  15. Ugh! WInter is taking its toll on you for sure. I hope you are feeling better this week and the cold and snow will go away. You are lucky to get copies of both the Briggs and the Bishop! Awesome.

  16. Sorry to hear that. I take vitamin c, E, and B complex everyday to make my immune system strong. Then again it's crazy up there in Boston. I don't think a vitamin cocktail would be enough to combat the cold. I hope it doesn't get worse for you on both health and weather, bea. Stay safe and cold!

  17. I've only had a fever a handful of times as an adult and I did not care for it. It's definitely adding insult to injury with your asthma. Were you able to get any reading done during the sleeplessness or were you too fuzzy headed? I'm normally on the fuzzy headed side. Have a great week and stay healthy and warm!
